When Fitz led her towards Everglen's big glowing gates, Sophie was nervous. She'd just been told that she was going to be attending a school named after a glowing fungus for a year before facing possible expulsion for something she hadn't even done yet, and now she had somehow ended up wearing the most ridiculous dress ever and about to meet the family of a cute boy she'd only just met. So yeah, she was nervous. As they opened the doors, Sophie saw a girl around 4 years older than her, but maybe a little taller than her, arguing with what looked like herself. Then a woman that looked a lot like her appeared in thin air, and Sophie let out a little shriek. Everyone laughed, like this was the most normal thing in the world. The girl who was previously arguing with the invisible woman was looking at Sophie like she was dirt on the bottom of her designer shoes. Suddenly, a shorter girl with medium length brunette hair that bounced as she walked and shone in the light squealed and threw herself onto Fitz. Sophie thought Fitz would push her off and drop her, or at least comment on it, but instead he picked her up and spun her around before gently setting the girl down. The girl looked over his shoulder at Sophie, and Sophie shifted uncomfortably, fixated on the girl's extremely pretty appearance, but on particular her icy blue eyes that seemed to peirce Sophie's soul. Sophie didn't even realise she was staring, and so made no effort to stop it. She girl made a face and turned, walking back to the older girl, who put an arm around her protectively. Sophie saw the smaller girl was about her age, but shorter, so she thought it was a little weird that her older sister would protect her like that, but maybe elves did things differently than humans. And then the older girl made some comment about the dress and turned it into a whole drama. The girl her age giggled like she thought it was funny, and Sophie noticed her voice was silvery and sweet, before Fitz stepped in front of them and Sophie diverted her gaze.

"Sophie, this is my sister Biana, and my youngest sister Y/N!"

Biana huffed and went with Y/N upstairs. Fitz scratched his neck awkwardly. Alden cleared his throat.

"Don't mind Biana, she just doesn't like strangers, and she tends to take Y/N with her wherever she goes. Poor girl doesn't have her own life. Still, she likes looking up to her older sister. You know, you and Y/N are the same age, maybe you could be friends. Fitz, why don't you take Sophie up to her room." Said Alden. Fitz nodded and lead her upstairs. As they walked down the hallway, they passed a door open slightly ajar. It must have been Y/N's room, Sophie decided, because she and Biana were in there and it looked like Biana was giving her poor sister a makeover. Boy, this family was very noble...
