It's been a few weeks since Foxfire started again, and you're in ability detecting class. Dex, who is your age and standing next to you, is drenched in sweat, but you're only feeling a little hot.
"If this is some way of trying to see if we're frosters, it's not working. None of us are, so it's pointless." You say.
"I'm hot!" Complains Marella from your other side.
"When do we get to do gym? I would rather be doing that right now." You say. It's true. The splotching championship is today, and you are set to win.
Finally, they let you out, and you're the only one not drenched in sweat. Sophie is waiting outside. Oh great, you think. She's come to steal my friends.
"Hey guys!" She says, eyeing me up. You heard what your dad said to her a few weeks ago, that you didn't have a life of your own. Well, you were going to prove him wrong. "Hey, Sophie! Ready for the splotching championship?" Dex replies. You just look away. You bet she thinks you're a mute.
When you all get outside ready to splotch, you first go up against Marella. You beat her easily, leaving her covered in orange. You beat Stina, Keefe, a few level threes, and you even beat Fitz. Yeah. Eventually, it's just you and Sophie going head to head. Lady Alexine starts it, and you both push as hard as you can. You feel the energy drain from you but you keep pushing. Eventually, the energy rebounds and you both crash into opposite walls, knocking you both out...
