Jasmine’s POV
“Louis!” I called after him, but he was walking out of the building, fast. I ran to catch up with him. “Louis, please wait up,” I yelled again, slowly catching up with him. I stopped just in front of him, blocking his way. “Please,” I begged, gasping for breath from my marathon run.
“Just leave me alone,” He said, pushing me out of the way. I could see the hurt in his pained eyes.
“Louis ju-”
“No, save it. Just get out of my way and out of my life. I don’t want to hear it,” he snarled, storming off, and out of my life. Maybe forever.
I tried desperately to call after him but it was no use. He wanted nothing to do with me. I felt my knees buckle and my whole body tremble. Tears began to stream down my face, unstoppable. I gave up, collapsing to the floor. What had I done? I’d lost the one person who meant absolutely everything to me.
Niall’s POV
I went out to find Jas and Louis after they’d both disappeared. I couldn’t believe Louis didn’t get through. He was way better than me. As I walked out of the building I saw a crowd of people. Being the curious person I am, I wandered over to see what was going on. There, in the center of the gathering, lay my best friend, lying in a pool of her own tears.
I quickly ran to her side. “Oh my God Jas! What happened?” I asked, putting my arm round her to comfort her.
“L..l..Louis walked off. D..d..doesn’t w..w..want anything t...t...to do with me,” she stuttered through her uneven breathing. I couldn’t believe what I was hearing. Those two were perfect together.
“I thought he was the apple to my pie, the straw to my berry,” she sobbed.
“I know,” I said, not really sure what else to say. I scooped her up in my arms and carried her to the taxi.
Louis’ POV
I started to run off, not wanting Jasmine to catch up with me. I wanted to get away from her and everyone. She had hurt me. She had told me I was good. That I would get through. Now I was just an embarrassment. I just felt so humiliated.
I had taken a taxi home by myself, not wanting to face anyone, even Niall. As soon as I got home, I stormed into my bedroom, and planted my face into my pillow.
My mum had obviously heard me come through the door, as I heard her footsteps getting louder as she came up the stairs to find me.
“Louis?” she said, quickly running to my side when she saw I wasn’t ok. “Louis what happened?” she asked as I felt her rub circles on my back, trying to comfort me.
“I..I..” I stuttered, unable to get my words out, my voice muffled in my pillow.
“Come on Lou, tell me. I won’t leave until you tell me.”
“Fine.” I lifted my head up from the pillow. Some of my hair was stuck to my face from the tears. I looked into my mother’s eyes. “I didn’t get through and then I stormed off and then Jasmine tried to run after me and then I told her to go away and get out of my life,” I said at a million miles an hour, not even taking a breath in between. “And now she hates me and thinks I’m an idiot and I don’t even know if I want to see her again or not...” I rambled.
There was a small silence for a bit.
“And I’m just really confused,” I finished, slumping back onto the pillow.
“Ok, well to start with, it’s not the end of the world that you didn’t get through. And secondly, it’s not Jasmine’s fault. You can’t be mad at her. She didn’t do anything wrong,” my mum explained. Just then I felt my phone buzz in my pocket. I expected it to be Jas. I took it out, not planning on answering it and I saw that it was an unknown number. I answered, “Hello?”
“Hello, is this Louis Tomlinson?” asked the man on the other end of the phone.
“Yes...” I replied.
“This is ITV. We have a message for you from Simon Cowell. He has asked you to come back to the studios tomorrow morning. He hasn’t told us why.”
Niall’s POV
I was in my bedroom with Jas when ‘Look After You’ started blasting from my pocket. “Oh sorry Jas, I’ve just gotta take this call,” I said to Jas, leaving her in my bedroom whilst I stepped into the hallway to take my call. I took my phone out to see it was an unknown number.
“Hello?” I said.
“Oh hello, is this Niall Horan?” a man spoke on the other end of the line.
“Um..yes,” I replied, not quite sure who this was or what it was about.
“This is ITV. We have a message for you from Simon Cowell. He has asked you to come back to the studios tomorrow morning. He hasn’t told us why.”
“Right ok. Thank you,” I said, hanging up the phone.
I walked back into my bedroom, still unsure as to why Simon Cowell wanted me to come back.
“What was that about?” Jas quizzed as I went to sit next to her on the bed, causing her to bounce off the bed a little bit.
“I need to go back to the X Factor studios tomorrow. I don’t know why.”
