Chapter Three: Break
~Wednesday~
Aria's POV
I sat there reminiscing over where I was. It hasn't even been a day, and I already miss them. A knock on my door interrupted my thoughts. I wiped a tear from my face.
"Yeah?" I managed to say, however it came out like I lost my voice.
"Dinner is ready" Anna's small voice said as her footsteps faded. I got up and looked at myself I'm the mirror. My eyes were tinted red, tear streaks floated down my face.
I sniffled and wiped them away the best I could, nothing helped much though. I finally just said screw it, and walked out, slowly finding my way around the house to where the kitchen was.
"Glad you could join us..." Andrea said pointing to a seat across from her. I sat down, picking at my food. I noticed my little sister starring at me from the corner of my eye.
I looked up at her, my eyes meeting hers she looked away quickly. It went silent, only hearing the clicks when someone's fork hit the plate.
I noticed Anna starring at me again. I decided I should just say something. "Can I help you?" I asked, it came out a little bit rough, but I didn't want her starring at me forever.
"No" was her reply. Anna was average height with bright blue eyes and black hair. She normally was quiet, but when something comes up she wants to talk about, she's all in.
"Then quit starring at me." I snapped, she winced slightly, "please.." I added.
"Saying please after everything doesn't make it all better" Anna whispered her long black hair falling to her face slightly.
"Just say what you wanted to" I whispered.
"I wasn't-"
"Anna" Andrea interrupted, "just say whatever you wanted to.."
"Why were you crying?" Anna asked quickly. I was taken back, I mean she's eleven.. I guess, eh whatever.
"Why would you think I was crying?" I asked my hand shaking lightly as I stabbed another piece of chicken with my fork.
"I could hear you.." she whispered.
"How could you hear me?" I asked becoming slightly angry at the child.
"You were talking.." She stuttered speaking quickly, "I was walking outside your door.. I stopped and listened to you speak... and cry.."
"You were outside my door?!" I half yelled.
"I wanted to know!" she yelled back.
"Stop it!" Andrea yelled, "both of you. Just stop.." Andrea whispered. I sat back down and moved the food on my plate around.
"Who's Adam?" Anna spoke up again, I dropped my fork into my plate.
"It doesn't matter Anna" I said.
"Yes it does. Who is he?" She asked.
"Anna that's enough" Andrea spoke lowly.
"No it's not. Who is he? Was he your boyfriend?" she asked.
"Anna!" Andrea yelled, "that's enough I said!"
"No! I want to know who he was!" Anna yelled again, that word ticked me off.
Was...
"He was nothing, he is something" I stated lowly glaring at my plate.
"I don't think he's an is if he doesn't return your calls" she muttered, I dropped my fork on my plate.
"So you listen to everything?" I yelled, "do you just stand there and fucking stalk me?!"
"I'm your sister, that's not fucking stalking!"
"Anna!" Andrea yelled, "your room now!"
"I want to know!" she yelled again. I stayed quiet, "why is he so important?!"
"Anna now" Andrea said clearly pissed.
Anna scoffed and got up from the table and began walking away to, what I assumed to be, her room. She turned around, "I thought you told everything to your sister" she muttered and left.
I got up and turned around and walked back to my room, slamming the door shut, then completely breaking down.
