Chapter Six: Smile For The Camera
Aria's POV
I got up and walked over to my closet, grabbing my blue hoodie, some dark Jeans, and blue flats.
I grabbed my phone and texted anyone and everyone who meant anything at one point.
To Sydni and Ally
Stay strong guys. I love you too more than you know, your my sisters. Help Adam through this, please?
To Andrea
I know you thought this was best, but it wasn't. Your my sister and I love you. Don't hide this from Anna, please.
To Adam
I love you.
I but my lip and powered down my phone.
I sighed and turned my phone to silent. It was 4:30 in the morning. I walked toward the door, grabbing the SnapBack Jerome had given me forever ago and putting it on my head backwards. I sighed and walked outside.
"Where were you" I whispered to myself while walking, "when everything was falling apart."
"All my days were spent by the telephone" I sang, "that never rang, and all I needed was the call that never came."
"Lost and insure"
"Aria what happened?" he asked sticking his hand out.
"P-please" I said in between sobs, "d-don't hurt me"
"I won't, let me help you" he said with calm eyes.
"Why do you want to help m-me" I said still crying my eyes out, who wouldn't?
"Because I now know" he said sticking his arm out.
"You found me, you found me" I whispered, "lying on the floor"
I began crying running into the kitchen, opening and closing every possible thing, plates, glasses, everything shattering on the floor.
Glass...
I grabbed a broken piece sitting on my knees, harshly slicing at myself. What am I doing? The only smart thing. This is smart?
"God damned it" I yelled throwing the glass piece at the wall, making it shatter into more pieces.
"Aria..."
"Surrounded, surrounded" I whispered a tear slipping down my face as I continued to walk taking a left into the woods. "I've been waitin for days and days and days and never left me no messages!" I yelled and began running, trying to get to the bridge faster.
"You never sent me no letters!" I yelled again, "you've got some kind of love, that's like an all out war" I yelled then tripped and fell.
"Lost and insecure" I whispered getting up seeing the bridge in the distance, "you found me you found me" I walked towards it, "lying on the floor"
I broke down once again, falling to my knees before slashing at my skin. I broke the promise long ago, so it shouldn't pain me.
However it does, he's always around me, no matter how much I want the memories to go away, they don't.
"Where were you? Where were you?!" Tears streamed down my face as I ran to the bridge crossing a busy street, somehow not getting hit, bummer.
I grabbed the bridge railing, "where were you? Where were you?" I whispered following the railing to the middle of the bridge.
"Just a little late" I whispered climbing over and holding on to it behind me. People stopped their cars and got out, creating a small circle around me. They yelled at me to get back, like they cared at all.
"Why'd you have to wait.." I whispered holding on with one hand.
"Just a little late" I whispered turning around looking at everyone, I sighed.
"Smile for the camera sweetie!" My mom called.
I looked into a camera, taking my one hand I was holding onto the railing with and waved.
With that I let go of everything, a small smile on my face as I fell to the rushing water below.
This is freedom.
