I woke with a headache, the only remnant of yesterday's pain. I didn't remember dreaming or having a nightmare, but it still was prominent-There was another gap in my memory. The lights in the med bay were low, but I still saw the tiny tree. It soothed me, to know that this tree could be tiny and contained but still alive. I was alone on this side of the room, but someone slept on the other side. A dude, it sounded like. No one passed by outside but a couple of guards, and my lack of something to do made me realise how thirsty I was. I didn't know if it was morning or night, but I knew that being stuck was boring, and I needed a way out. Then I saw it. A vent, with tiny screws that could be easily broken. I smiled, and I didn't know the medic had come in until the lights flicked on
I hissed at the sudden illumination "What did you do that for?"
They watched me with concern "I turned on the lights, Cedar. It's almost midnight"
"All the better" I tried to get up, and found a band around my waist "Why?" I moaned "Why does nobody let me out of med bays?" I waved a fist in the air
They laughed at my feeble attempts to escape, and I hissed at them again "What are you? A cat?" They said, and then their face fell "I'll let you out as soon as I'm sure a repeat of a couple of nights ago doesn't happen"
"With my heart stopping?" I asked. They nodded "Should've just let me die" I murmured. They sighed, then turned away to talk to the other person in the room. I fumbled with the belt and got it loose. I wriggled out, and crept to the vents, ripping it off and crawling in.
"Want to get out of here?" The other person turned to my now empty bed. Shock registered on their face as I crawled away. I need to find my armour and get back onto the ship so I can get back into action.
But I got lost fast since I didn't know my way around this set of vents. I'd never crawled through the med bay's area, since I don't like med bays. But I found out I was still on the ship, it's just that we're docked on Coruscant, and I've been sitting in a private med bay for poison or infectious disease patients. I didn't find my armour, though. But I saw the other guy from the med bay, with my armour, which had been repaired, next to him. I punched the vent
"Give" I pointed to the armour and dropped down into the room
"Chill! Just fixing it. All yours" he said, and I grabbed it while weighing if he was a threat.
"If you tell anybody about me, You will vanish from everyone's lives and never be seen again" I snarled, then put on my helmet "See you!" I waved, then crawled back into the vent and back to the med bay, where I finished putting my armour on.
I sat on the bed and waited for the medic to come back. When they did, I saw their face flicker through multitudes of emotions.
"Can I go?" I asked
"Where did you get your armour from?" They asked. I pointed to the now broken vent "Ah. Well. seeing as you didn't start having an epileptic fit as soon as you started moving again, I'll discharge you. Also, you have a note on your helmet" I reached up and yanked it off, reading it.
"Thanks," I said, then got up to leave
"Wait" They scowled "If the symptoms of the poison come back- The spasms and nausea, you come straight back here," They said. I nodded, then made my way out.
"Cedar" Furn said
"What?" I groaned and turned around
"You're severely underweight. Start eating, or you're going to end up right back in here" He scowled
"Mh-Hm" I mumbled "Yep" I turned around again and walked out.
I stopped to chat with Hardcase for a while, then I talked with some guy named Wrecker, who told me I needed to go against some guy named Hunter when it came to climbing stuff.
"Where can I find him?" I asked
"I dunno. He'll pop up somewhere" Wrecker shrugged. I kept going and stopped to talk with a few strangers.
"Hey! They finally released you, huh?" Ahsoka grinned
"Yeah" I said "Apparently, whatever poison those nasty bugs got in us went for round two" I laughed, and we started walking toward the mess together "I got out half an hour ago" I saw Rex making an exit and the mute clone choking on a drink. Ahsoka and I laughed a little and moved into the hall before we burst out laughing.
I heard footsteps in the hall, and someone mentioned Ahsoka
"Wanna get out of here?" I grinned, then pointed to the vents.
We crawled into an intersection, and we sat together and laughed about things until Skywalker asked where she was on her comm and where she had to go. So I led her toward the command centre and waited in the hall until whatever she needed to do was done.
We walked and talked until the Woods guy wanted to talk to Ahsoka. I tuned him out until Ahsoka let out a high-pitched squeal that was nearly high enough for only dogs to hear.
"Yes!" She said and was clearly trying not to hug him.
I slinked out and sought solitude. It seemed that the Force was against me having friends.
