Three months later
I wandered inside and smiled. He was standing there, looking at the display again
"Nothing you can do can fix it," I said "You can only keep moving forward" I placed my hand on his shoulder. Just above his elbow, the arm stopped. He stared at the metal replacement, sitting unused. Beside it was his lightsaber, and he let out a sigh
"I know," He said "But I can't let go of what I've done, my love"
"I understand" I put my head on his shoulder "But we can't live in the past anymore. We have a future"
"What if your father finds us?" He worried "What if they find us? We deserted, Cedar"
"Felucia is huge, Kelish. It would take them years. We shut out every piece of tech that they could trace us with" I reassured him
"You're right" He sighed "We'd better get on with the harvest, then"
"I already did it. We just have to go to town" I smiled "Don't worry. I'll be back soon" I left him there and mounted the speeder outside, hooked up to the cart.
It had taken us two months to settle here. We arrived just after a hurricane, and we helped rebuild the town. In return, the others helped build our home, and after that, it was learning how to farm. Kelish struggled to let go of the past, to release himself from his old burden. But he's learning how, and it's nice to see him move on.
I drove to the town and traded the cartload, letting myself revel in the idea that I was free from the war. I grew food for export now. I lived in peace with Kelish. I never have to fight again.
As I got home, I saw what I dreaded.
A ship.
I rushed inside and found Kelish, his arm reattached, his lightsaber in his hand. I grabbed my blaster from the wall, and we watched the passenger of the ship disembark.
A familiar Torgruta
I put my blaster back and stepped outside
"Hey, Ahsoka" I smiled
