Chapter 17

That night, everyone had the same dream. It was the memory of the Han River Battle of Silver and Kyrie's world. It was the longest vision that they had all witnessed yet. It spanned from the arrival of the Union at 9 PM, including Ben's kidnapping at the hands of the thugs Kingsley had haired, to the irrefutable victory of Donald Na.

Everyone who had witnessed that vision had suffered an excruciating headache. It was so painful that some of them had even screamed. For those that were in public at the time such as a bar, concerned people passing by wondered if they should call an ambulance for the teens.

The pain immediately subsided once the vision ended. The terrifying image of Donald Na having defeated Ben Park and the White Mamba had stayed in their mind. Despite it being a "dream", they had still felt the genuine intimidating presence of King of Yeongdeungpo.

"This means that my victory is inevitable," Donald chuckled. "I defeated both Ben Park and the White Mamba. Silver won't be a problem either,"

"Would it be okay to underestimate him though?" Kingsley asked. "He knows the way you fight,"

"The White Mamba studied my fighting style too and he still lost," Donald smirked. "Besides, there's only so much that fighting techniques can do in a fight. Sometimes, physical capabilities do make a difference. Right now, Silver has the body of a twelve year old. And Kingsley?"

"Yes?"

"Don't even fucking think of hiring kidnappers," Donald glared at him. "I can win. I will win. Don't make the same mistake that you in another world did,"

"Yes, Donald," Kingsley nodded. 'I don't like how close of a call that fight was though. In the other world, he had nearly lost to Gray Yeon,'

Kyrie had moved in with Gray and Silver. He had known that his brother wouldn't bring home any Union files nor would he slip up on any info pertaining to the Union, so he saw no reason to stay in that apartment. He wanted to stay close to Silver.

Gray was, understandably, suspicious of Kyrie. Kyrie had easily revealed his and Silver's secrets without any consideration for Silver's opinion on the matter. However, he let the decision fall onto his little brother. Silver allowed Kyrie to sleep in his room on a futon. 

"Do you think Phillip Kim's former blonde minion is going to become Gray's friend in this universe?" Silver asked as they both laid awake one night. 

"Since these people of this world have been getting visions of events that happened in our world, there is a chance Teddy Jin might still join Gray Yeon's friend group," Kyrie answered. "However, since the events that led to them becoming friends never happened, then it is unlikely that they would become friends in this universe,"

"It's a bit sad but I doubt that Gray would miss a friendship he never had," Silver commented. 

"Everyone who had been present at the Han River Battle had a vision of the entire event," Kyrie informed. "Apparently some people had also overheard me revealing about our dimensional travel and reincarnation and posted about it on the Shuttle Patch,"

"You were yelling it pretty loudly," Silver recalled. "It'd be more surprising if no one had overheard you at all,"

"I'm sorry," Kyrie apologized. "Things may get troublesome, especially at school,"

"Just let them talk," Silver shrugged. "And if they decide to still try to fight me after I had already proven my strength in this world, I'll beat them,"

A silence fell between the two.

"Kingsley?"

"Yes, Donald?"

"I still don't understand why you killed yourself just because I died. You still had a chance to return to a normal life. You had a chance for a future. You could've graduated high school, finished your military conscription, gotten a degree at a university, and gotten a good job at a company. You still had your parents. You could've eventually met someone else and started your own family,"

"As you already know, my parents had high expectations of me," Kyrie answered. "They weren't really there emotionally for me. They were always disappointed when I couldn't meet their expectations. Even in this universe, they still have high expectations for their sons. The only reason they seem prouder of me in because I'm smarter than the typical twelve year old,"

"As for eventually meeting someone and starting my own family?" Kyrie shook his head. "I have no intentions of doing that. I don't need a girlfriend or a lover. I just want to stay with you and stay by your side, Donald,"

The next day at school, students were murmuring amongst themselves and constantly glancing at Silver and Kyrie. Silver ignored them and just went about his daily routine as usual. Kyrie followed suit.

"So..." Ben began. "I got kidnapped in my dream of your guys' world,"

"Kingsley's fault," Silver quickly said.

"No regrets," Kyrie added. "I'm willing to do it again,"

"Don't hire people to kidnap Ben," Silver deadpanned.

"I can pay them to kidnap Donald and Kingsley instead?" Kyrie suggested.

"No," Silver shook his head. "Don't do it, Kyrie,"

"You were very strong," Ben commented a bit awkwardly.

"I was undefeated," Silver reminisced. "No one could beat me. No one could stop me," 'Not even the White Mamba could stop me. Ultimately, it was a truck that killed me and ended my reign,'

"I still wonder why we're getting visions of what happened in your world though," Alex pondered out loud. 

"It is a bit concerning," Kyrie added. "But there's nothing we can do about it,"

"Hey guys?" Eugene nervously peaked into the classroom. Gray, Gerard, and Rowan were with him. "My friend moved back to Seoul after staying in Australia for three years,"

"Oh right, I forgot that there was that guy in your guys' friend group in my world," Silver commented. 

"Hey, I'm Rowan Im," Rowan greeted. "So, uh, this might sound weird but I've been having these weird visions...and I saw on the Shuttle Patch that—"

Silver cut him off and gave a quick explanation of things.

"Oh, wow," Rowan had to sit down. "This is a lot to take in. I mean, normally I wouldn't believe these things but the visions and the post on the Shuttle Patch about everyone else having these visions...I guess it really is true,"

"Welcome to the friend group," Ben grinned and patted Rowan on the back. "We'll introduce you to everyone else when we get together again this afternoon,"

I'm gonna be honest, I completely forgot about Rowan which is why he was introduced near the end of this chapter. Teddy's gonna make an appearance next chapter.
