It was finally the awaited day of finding out the gender of the queen's baby.

Everyone in the kingdom was awaiting the pleasant results. The queen herself was excited as she was accompanied by the King to the royalty's loyal fortune teller to know what gender the baby was in advance.

Kissing the King goodbye, the Queen entered the extravagant looking tent. Hands protectively on her belly as she walked up to the ginger who smiled at her.

She noted that the other had beautiful hair, her hair wasn't quite fully ginger to be honest, it had a streak of light blue at the side.

"Welcome, I'm sure you're excited."

The queen anxiously nodded, "I must know the baby's gender."

The ginger nodded, "Take a seat." as she gestured to the cloth seat.

The queen slowly sat on the chair, looking with anticipation at the other.

The ginger's gentle looking hands did it's magic as both glided through the air circling the crystal globe again and again.

The transparent globe turned a light blue as the mesmerising colour enveloped the globe.

The ginger smiled, "A boy..."

The queen's eyes widened, "It's can't be...." she muttered, fully audible to the other.

"Try again!" The queen demanded, eyes wide with fear.

The fortune teller frowned slightly, "My fortune skill never lies." She glanced at the other with slight concern.

The queen shook her head, "I need you to try again. I'll be killed if it isn't a girl."

The ginger, upon hearing this, frantically nodded, hands hastily repeating the earlier steps.

However, much to the queen's sadness, the result stayed stagnant.

"It's a boy." The fortune teller confirmed firmly, looking at the other sadly.

The queen, with tears welling up in her eyes as she asked softly, "What should I do? The King wants a girl so that she can be married to the other kingdom's Prince. He'll make me get rid of the baby..."

The fortune teller's heart reached out to the other's as she suggested, "Tell the King that it's a girl."

The queen gasped at that, "But..."

The ginger shook her head, "It's fine, when he's born, I'll take the blame of not reading the fortune properly. The King will have no choice but to accept him due to his reputation being at stake. You'll have to protect him at all cost."

"You'll be executed. I can't let an innocent soul like yours die. How will the kingdom move on without you?"

The ginger smiled comfortingly, "My death will not be in vain. I'm sure that this boy will bring along good things. You must love him."

The queen could only nod as she bowed at the other respectfully, "I'll be forever grateful."

As she stood up, she glanced back hesitantly at the other as she wiped her tears away.

The fortune teller nodded at her for encouragement. The fortune never lies. What lies in the future however, she is not sure but she hopes for the best as she watched the leaving queen.

The queen left the tent, met with the king who was waiting enthusiastically for the results.

"The baby?" He asked.

"It's..." the queen gulped silently as the king nodded at her, urging her to continue.

"It's a boy!"
