Episode 10

Raven watched with interest as Connor set up the drones in the centre of the large open field in the countryside, a far cry from the cityscapes of NewTube. She had been fairly quiet since leaving the city, her mind spinning from seeing Connor for the first time up close. She had admired him from afar only, and even then, she had not fully realized just how incredibly talented he was. He was of a similar age to her. She learned from Blair that he thought highly of her, though it was still hard for her to accept the attention. She kept secret the truth about how she felt about him, and instead opted to stay focused on her goal: to create a popular gaming YouTube channel, the likes of which had never been seen before. Aaron, in the meantime, had already started up his own drone competition, which quickly transformed the field into a giant racing track as the drones buzzed back and forth. Raven felt a thrill of excitement as she watched Connor and Aaron competing. It was a feeling she hadn't felt for a long time, since she had been so focused on building her channel. She began to relax slightly, but then felt a pang of guilt as she realized she was paying more attention to Connor than her own drones. She quickly readjusted her view and got back to work, determined that this would be the best video she ever made. As the drones raced around the field, Raven periodically stole glances at Connor while he focused on the controllers. She began to understand what it really felt like to fall in love. It was the feeling of wanting to be close to him, of wanting to talk to him, and of wanting to protect him from the world. She couldn't stop her ever growing crush on Connor, and suddenly she found herself wishing for the day when he would finally notice her and see her for who she really was.
And eventually, her wish came true. As she was watching the drones compete, she noticed a change in Connor's demeanour. His eyes met hers and he smiled. Raven felt like her heart was melting. Her dream had finally come true. She watched as Connor and Aaron had their turn in the drone race, but it was all a blur as she just enjoyed being in his presence. The day flew by and as the sun went down, Raven reluctantly returned the controllers to Aaron and Connor and went back to the city. Her heart was full, and she realized that her crush on Connor had become something bigger. From that day, she couldn't help but check all the videos posted from France and kept up to date on what he was doing. Eventually, her feelings only grew and eventually, she felt brave enough to reach out. Her message to Connor said it all: 'I hope you all exited for our trip! Thanks for giving me the courage to do the things I always wanted to do'.
