Chara sighed as the tossed the magical orb from one hand to the next. Some magical force kept it from physically touching their hands so it kinds hovered in their invisible grasp. It was a gift from their HeMom before they had left for work. He had said that if they could open it then they could have what's inside. Quiet Mom only sighed internally. Well that's what it had looked like since basically any actual sound they could produce would be a fraction of a whisper. Super Mom had left to go model a couple of weeks ago but always called or texted them from wherever they were.
As for the orb. Chara had tried bashing it into things( which didn't work cause it literally would not come in contact with even the ground. It would just float), putting it in the microwave( remind one of the moms to get a new one), freezing it, using magic on it and even blood. That last one was stupid since HeMom would never do anything that would have them harm themselves outside of training. Chara sighed as the tossed the magical orb from one hand to the next. Very anti climactic compared to the others.
Suddenly there was a knock on the front door. Surprising since There was a whole gate that surrounded the house. And it wasn't a small house either. When you have four parents that make high pay and live together a bigger house is necessary. Though the 'mansion not a mansion' could have been seen as a bit much. They even had two dogs that would bark if someone came in unescorted. They also spared no expense on security. Grabbing a tablet on the table they turned it on. Pressing the security app they looked at the camera and their frown became more prominent.
Standing at the door was Frisk's dad, Sans. As well as Toriel and Undyne. The aforementioned dogs were sound asleep next to each other by the gate. Their hands tightened around the frame of the tablet. Why couldn't they just leave them alone? They could just ignore them till they go away but knowing Sans he'd just teleport in. So the next best thing was to call one of their parents. Grabbing their phone they unlocked it but before they could make a call Sans appeared right in front of them. Startled they chucked the phone at him only for him to dodge it. Having who knows how much experience in dodging it was simple for him.
"Is that any way to treat a friend, kid?" Chara only glared in reply. "Still not talking eh? No matter. Just came by to invite you to Frisk's birthday party. Again." Their glare only solidified. Sans sighed at the progress he was making from the one sided conversation. "Look for some reason you don't like us and I can't say I'm cool with that or understand but I'm not here to force your hand. All I'm saying is that Frisk would-" Sans was interrupted by the sphere that Chara was trying to open being lobbed straight at him. "Fuck! What the hell was that." Chara's only reply was to point at the door. "Jeez, these humans are a bad influence on you." Chara smirked taking that as a compliment. "Fine. You know where we live if you change your mind." And with that he teleported away.
Only to reappear with a ketchup bottle. "One thing I can say bout your crappy dad is that he has good taste in condiments." And with that he dissapeared.
Grabbing the tablet once more they saw Sans talking to Toriel. Looked like she wasn't happy. Chara went to retrieve their phone which was thankfully protected by their high quality phone case. Going to their contacts they dialed.
*A little while before*
"Alright I have to check on some things out on the floor. Think you can manage, Jason?" The dark skinned male said as he tied his long hair back.
"Yes ma'am!" Jason said with a grin
"Keep that up and I'll make sure you're stuck on deadline duty." Blair warned as they got up from their seat at the long table, smoothing out his skirt as he stood.
""Yes ma'am!" He repeated. Blair growled and flicked him in the forehead. "Ow! Workplace abuse!" The only reply he got was the slam of the lab room door.
"Dude one of these days you're gonna be in a test tube shipped to the Bermuda." A co-worker warned. Jason just smoothed his hair back with a chuckle.
"Maybe but that day isn't today."
Blair Wright was a simple person with simple likes. Dreams of world domination, multiple partners, the destruction of humanity. Normal things. Things took a turn for the greater when they adopted their new child, Chara. They just added this special touch to their life when they agreed to become their child. It wasn't a normal encounter when they met either. A child, or teen at least, running away from home and crashing into a guy on the streets. They weren't planning on fighting a Skeleton that day but seeing how reluctant and fearful of being taken by the monster the scientist immediately threw all thoughts of returning them out the window. Whoever said monsters were weak lied. That's like categorizing every human to the greatest athlete's standards and even then monsters still had an edge thanks to magic. But that's where technology came in. Not only was Blair a psychologist and assistant researcher but they were also a part time inventor. Mainly for themself but they have massed produced some of their creations for one reason or another. These inventions, or what he had on hand at the time, are the reason he wasn't skewered by a bone. Though it helped them survive long enough for help to come in the form of their second girlfriend. Even though they chased him away they still had to deal with the legal aftermath of being accused of kidnapping, but after over half a year of court cases and bribery they managed to add Chara into the family.
They couldn't wait to get home. After a hard days work they loved to go back home and get their daily dose of love. As they were about to put on their disinfectant coat their phone started ringing. After seeing it was his favorite child they immediately picked up. Instantly they were greeted by the frowning face of their child. After finding out that Chara had refused to speak for over five years they made sure all their devices had some way to visually communicate with them.
"Chara what's wrong? Are you hurt? Hungry? Did I leave the stove on?" He joked trying to lighten the mood. They heard the doorbell ring in the background. "Hey honey, who's at the door?"
Chara pointed the screen at the tablet. On the screen was Toriel tapping her foot while waiting while Sans seemed to be holding Undyne back, spear in hand. "Shit." They hissed. "Dont let them in and if that smiley trash bag comes in throw stuff at him till he leaves. Chara raised one of their mother's dictionaries with a hard cover. "That's my kid. Be home in a sec." They ended the call their and dialed their boss.
Throwing the coat back on the rack Blair's boss answered on the third ring.
"Blair? What is it? You know I'm just in the office."
"I'm leaving right now, just wanted to let you know. Some uninvited guest are at my house."
"Shit, I'll call the police." he said.
"Don't. I can handle it."
"Blair, dont do anything that could put you in jail. You have a kid to look after."
"I know Damion. Trust me on this." Blair and Damion had been friends since the sixth grade. It was one of the reasons Blair landed the position they had.
"Alright, let me know if something happens."
"Will do, Windu!" Blair said as they exited the building. After finally making it to his car he picked up the phone to make another call.
