Chara honestly didn't know what to do with themselves at the party. They knew now one at the party really and those they did know that weren't their family they wanted to avoid. Speaking of their family seemed to be mostly sticking to themselves if not with them at times.

Blair especially mostly chose to hang around Chara and the other children minus Frisk.

Speaking of Frisk, the child was still holding a one sided conversation with Chara with Sans and Toriel watching over them. Normally Blair would be over there as well but was convinced by their husband that they would just get into another unnecessary fight. Blair being Blair took that as well as a teen being told that they would get too rowdy going out with their friends.

After some bribe attempts and tough negotiations they finally convinced them to not antagonize their host. No matter how badly they wouldn't mind doing it themselves.

"So has your new friends been treating you well?" Frisk asked. Chara raised an eyebrow wondering why they were even asking. Grabbing their tablet they typed a reply.

"They are my family and yes they have been treating me well."

"Oh, well that's-" Frisk was interrupted by a hand a Chara put a finger to Frisk's lips while they continued to type. Frisk had to resist the urge to lick their finger seeing as they weren't friends and Chara probably wouldn't find it funny.

"Why am I here?" There was the question. The one Frisk had been having mixed feelings about since she thought to invite Chara.

"I- Well, I just wanted to see you. It's been so long and we just stopped after you left. Even after all we went through together you just up and left." Chara glared at the other child. They knew well and good why they left and they were not going to repeat themself.

"If you are looking for am apology you won't find one from me, human." They typed.

"Chara! There is no need for you to be rude. Frisk is just trying to reconnect with their sibling."

"We're not related. None of us are." Chara thought but didn't type it out. Instead they got up and left ignoring the cries of their ex-foster mother. "Why did I even come here?" They then spotted Asgore by himself. They guessed Toriel's mantra against him still held strong.

They silently sat by the large goat monster wearing a faded Hawaiian shirt. They sat in silence for a moment, both feeling like they has so much to apologize for but didn't know where to start. Asgore could still feel Toriel glaring at him so he decided to speak first. "Howdy, Chara. I see you decided to come. Thanks for convincing Tori to let me see Frisk on her birthday. Even if I'm not the most well received guest. Though I guess that's my own fault."

Chara said nothing but shook their head in disagreement and put their hand on their arm. Asgore smiled and sighed.

"You never did really talk much when we were in the underground either. But you were always there to listen to this old goat gripe about his duties. I kinda miss the old days. Minus Tori yelling at me to do my duties when all I wanted to do was be in my garden."

Chara smiled at the memory of catching Toriel Nagging him for neglecting some of his duties in order to, "slack off". But then again, that's why she still loved him she would say. Or at least she use to.

"I'm sorry my death caused such a rift in your relationship." Chara text.

Asgore sadly chuckled. "Honestly, it was bound to happen. Things were not as cheerful as they seemed behind the scenes. Being royalty isn't as nice as most kids think it is. I did what I did of my own choosing as did you. People may disagree with us but we both did it for the ones we loved. Now I'm not saying I wanted you to kill yourself for us but it would be hypocritical of me to shame you when I basically did the same thing for the same reason. But, the past is the past. We may regret the decisions we made, and they may have earned the ire of our loved ones, but they are now our responsibility to carry those consequences. So never blame yourself for any of our sakes."

Chara nodded and hugged the old goat.

"You know, I think Fuku and Muffet went inside to bake is here." Chara instantly got up and rushed inside. Asgore chuckled to himself as he watched them leave. Chara's seat was then taken by Blair.

"Looking to be dad of the year?" They teased.

"Ha! If only. No I'm just giving our kid some advice. And maybe playing a little matchmaker."

"Ah, you sly goat you. That sounds fun. Bet you waiting for grandkids?"

"That would be nice. How's the married life?"

As the two continued to converse Chara had already found their two friends. Muffet from their past life, and Fuku Fire from her resurrection. The one true friend they made by themself when they still lived with Toriel.

"Well hello, hello! What have we here? A fly has willingly come into my lair?" Muffet teased. Chara grinned and hugged the spider. Muffet eagerly returned the hug to their shorter friend.

"Do I get a hug too?" Fuku asked standing to the side with a tray of brownies. Chara detached themself from the spider woman and took the flame teen into their embrace next.

"Now that that's out of the way, we are very crossed with you!" Muffet said sternly, all arm folded except her bottom two which were fisted onto her hip as she leaned forward.

"Yeah! How dare you go quiet on us for three months!? Three, freaking months!" Chara was suddenly backed into the table by the two, both putting a hand( or hands) on either side of them. They then grabbed their phone and started typing.

"I was busy."

"Too busy to call or text us?" Fuku asked disbelieving. The twos' glare at the mute intensified leaving Chara pressing their back against the table and wishing they had someone to help them. Suddenly the two relented. Chara slightly eased their back off the table warily as the two had gleaming smiles directed at them when not too long ago it looked like they weren't going to leave the kitchen in one piece.

"Fine then. We forgive you." Muffet started.

"But only if you go out with us next week?" Fuku finished as they both wrapped their arms around one of Chara's on both sides. Chara rolled their eyes but nodded anyways. It could have been worse.

Back outside the party begind winding down a bit.

Near the fence Blair and his partners were gathered waiting for Chara at the gate. After giving Frisk their gifts they had mostly stayed to themselves and talking to Asgore, the other outcast. They may not want to be there but Blair would like to think they would at least bring something to a kid's party.

"I assume you won't be staying over tonight then." Asgore asked.

"And you are?" Blair said raising an eyebrow.

"Tori may not like or tolerate my presence anymore, but Frisk seems to be more understanding as well as forgiving."

"Last part's a bit hard to belive." Blair said, rolling their eyes. Asgore just chuckled. In front of them the sliding door opened and out came Chara with Muffet and Fuku hanging off of them. "And here comes the chick magnet themself!" Chara, hearing their parent glared at them while the others laughed and chuckled.

"So apparently Chara will be sleeping over. That is, as long as you guys are okay with it."

"What the hell. If Chara wants to stay then they can. I trust them and you two to take care of them." Blair sighed.

'I really don't but..." Chara thought to themself buy they had a few reasons to stay.

"Unfortunately it will just be Fuku as I have things I need to do." Muffet groaned.

"What's this? Muffet complaining about working?" Elysium joked.

"Laugh all you want but at least I make as much money as the royal family use to."

"You mean you use to."

Both women glared at each other as you could feel the electricity crackle around them.

"Alright you two, you can measure Dickson later. I'm tired and want to go to bed. If you know what I mean." Blair said as they got between the two. Chara made a gagging motion and everyone began to say their final farewells. Fuku then grabbed Chara's hand. Pulling them back inside.

"Let's go!"
