Kosta was questioned on July 18th in the case against his father.
Kosta was questioned by a psychologist at a psychiatric hospital, to whom the prosecutor asked questions through headphones.
Kecmanović gave answers to 5 questions:
1. Did his father mistreat him?
2. What was the relationship in the family between mother, father and sister?
3. Did his father take him to the shooting range?
4. Did his father teach him how to shoot?
5. Did his father give him the passcode to the gun safe?

Kosta said his father did not provide him with the firearms/guns, but by an instructor at the shooting range.
His father taught him how to shoot and load the gun.
Kosta also said that his father
"admired how he shoots accurately."

The firearms were locked in a safe by his father. The gun safe had a three-digit code.
K.K explained how he struggled for a long time to crack the code and searched for a long time to obtain the firearms.

Speaking about family relations during the hearing, K.K said that the house had no special rules. There was no discipline except for the "mild discipline of confiscating the phone". He and his sister were expected to be friendly and cultured. Kosta described as his relationship with his dad as good and his mom as caring, compassionate, intelligent and fair. He said that he misses his father, mother, sister, dog & uncle.

Kosta also said that he played the video games Tactical Shooter & Valorant, and got the idea when he watched the documentary 'Mass Murder'

Kosta said that he had changed his mind and regretted committing the shooting, and if he could turn back time, he would not do it again. He did not give a specific reason for committing the crime.
