secret santa with hefc!

there's snow tucked beneath her soles as she grins happily. her pointed long ears and fogged up glasses hinted of the cold around her but she didn't care as the cone-shaped hat stayed still on her head despite all the moving around.
"i'm ready for christmas finally!" exclaimed yin the elf (????) excitedly once she had all the special gifts ready in the red bag for her friends.

it was time to send out the gifts for the secret santa.

she glances to the snow dropping from above, grinning as she takes flight into the night before christmas day with christmas magic.

one by one, she enters each home of her sleeping friends, dropping perfectly wrapped boxes of their wishes down underneath the christmas tree (if they had one), and for some who didn't have trees, she placed them besides them on the bedside table next to their beds.
she takes one cookie if they left some out for santa ("santa wouldn't mind!") before giggling off onto the next home.

santa is on his way to surprise the many kids and families with their gifts, but yin's a very special elf to be able to send off gifts like this- it's considered a miracle from the northern skies for a elf like her to send out gifts.
"say, who else do i have left on my christmas list?" she asked to practically no one aside from the sky that sprinkled down snowflakes on her- right, she forgets that feeling everytime.

making someone happy. it's the cost of losing a bit of happiness from yourself but she didn't care.
she just wanted to see their happy smiles on their faces- knowing that despite all their downfalls, they would everyday have a moment to smile even for a moment.

because that's what life meant to her.
it doesn't matter if those smiles left permanent smile wrinkles on their faces, if it meant that happiness was forever embedded into their faces, she would be happy.

happiness should never be doubted, and happiness should
always be shared- that's what yin was doing as a gift-giving elf blessed by the big boss himself, to always share a piece of her happiness because her happiness would always regrow no matter what.

as long as they were friends, happiness seemed reachable for them together.

the reason why she always forgets that feeling every year?
because of them, i forget feeling lonely.
