Shio sat on a chair at the table in the kitchen. He watched his dad throw plates at the wall and scream at his mother. He slowly took a bite of his cereal. This was normal in the Orozco household. Although it was normal, Shio refused to get used to it. His father abusing his mother right in front of him. She didn't even do anything wrong. If Shio said anything, he would get beaten up for it. His mom cried as he screamed at her. Calling her useless, ugly, a whore. All kinds of things. This hurt Shio. He loved his mother and appreciated her deeply. To see something like this happen to her is truly sad. Shio finished eating his cereal and stood up.

"I-I'm off." He said.

His dad looked at him.

"Did I give you permission to speak?" He asked.

"N-No sir..."

"Then shut your mouth and leave."

Shio nodded and made his way to the front of the house. He grabbed his backpack, then opened the door. A gust of wind blew into his face. His hair flying back.

"Morning, Shio." A girl said.

"Morning, Lucy." Shio closed the door and walked down the steps. "Moriki will be out soon."

"Thanks. Have a good day," Lucy nodded.

Shio walked past her and went down his normal path to school. His purple hair blew in the wind. His emeral green eyes sparkled. He was 16 years old. Shio plans on being a Doctor when he grows up, just like his dad. The only think he doesn't want to inherit is the assasin job. Shio hated killing people. He's planned on leaving the family once he had gathered enough money to be able to move into his own place. The only way he could get that money was through the assassin job. When he moves out, he wants to bring his little sister, Hiroko, his brother, Jiro, and his mother with him. They'd be safe. He though Moriki could handle himself. He did whatever he want to anyways. He didn't feel like talking to Aneko about anything. Aneko was very passionate about being an assassin when she gets older. To her, their dad is the perfect role model.

Shio looked up. He just noticed he had already passed the gates to his school. Guess time flies by when you think about how much you hate your dad. Shio passed by groups of kids his age laughing. Shio had no friends at his school. The only people who talked to him was Moriki's friends, Lucy and Silver. Even then, they barley talked to him. Shio went to the roof and started planting the flowers that hidden behind something that went into the school. Nobody knows what that thing does. He looked up. Tokyo looked pretty from the view he was given. He leaned forewards against the railing and sighed. He watched kids walk into the school and squeal as they ran to their friends and started having conversations. He wished that someday he could feel something like that. Shio pulled headphones out of his pocket and put them in his ears. He shuffled his playlist on his phone. Beyond the Sea by Bobby Darin played. Shio loved any music that was made before the 2000's. 90s and 80s were his favorite. He leaned a little closer toward the railing. The school bells rang and kids rushed to their classes. Shio slowly leaned closer, and closer. Finally, he came too close. Shio fell. He dropped onto the ground. His arms and legs out like he was making a snowangel. Powers still exist in this world, although they are very rare. Teiyo had snapped 96% of them out of the universe. Shio's family all contained their powers. Shio didn't have a specific power. His body had strong durability. Way too strong. He could also teleport, but he hated using it for some reason. He felt as if he was cheating life. Shio stood up and brushed the grass off his pants, then made his way too class.

When the lunch bell rang, Shio returned to his spot with the flowers. He leaned close to the railing again. This time he had no intention of falling, but if it happened to happen, he wouldn't fight it. Just like before, he inched closer and closer. Shio looked down and sighed. He didn't want to fight anything right now. He felt too upset to do that. Upset that his life sucks. He didn't care about anything now. He just wished he could dissapear. Suddenly, somebody grabbed his shirt and pulled him back. His headphones flew out of his ears and hit the floor. Shio turned around and looked at who was grabbing him. Somebody with pink hair stared him in the eye. Obviously a guy. He looked a little too old to be in high school, though.
