"Our kid is a fucking weirdo! What do you mean I should look at it from her perspective?"

"She's 11 years old and manages to still be so fucking stupid. She can't go one day at school without making a scene. I'm telling you, everybody is laughing at us! People think we are a joke."

"How will you even prove that I beat her? She has no bruises."
"Oh don't worry, I can handle that part."

"You can leave. You're sleeping on the couch tonight."
"The couch? It's my house. I'll sleep where I want to sleep."
"SLEEP ON THE COUCH!"

The door to their bedroom opened and the father looked down at Cory who was laying on the floor.
"Cory. What are you doing?"
"Why does it matter?"
"Cory please get up."
"Dad. Am I retarted?"
"Of course you aren't." Cory's dad kneeled down and grabbed her hand. "Look Cory, your mom is just upset that you're having a hard time at school. Nothing more. We both love you, ok?"
Cory nodded.
"Wanna go watch some TV? I think our favorite show is on."
Cory hopped up.
"YES!" She nodded.
Her dad smiled and stood up. They made their way over to the couch and turned the TV on. Cory laughed as they watched the sitcom about a family.
"Dad, I wish I had a big brother."
"I'm sorry I wasn't able to provide you with that."
"That's ok. Although someday I hope I'll get one."
"What do you mean Seiko is gone..."
"All of his stuff is gone. I can't find him. His phone is going straight to voicemail. It's either dead or broken. I swear I looked everywhere I could think of." Kawano signed.
"N-N-No... Seiko wouldn't just leave like that. What did Mom say?"
"She doesn't seem to care. We're 15. I think she doesn't care about what happens to us now."
"Why would he do this... It was supposed to be the three of us together forever."
"Wait, Cory, do you expect us to be with you for the rest of our lives? What if you get married? You wouldn't want to live with us and your husband."
"Yes I would. I don't want to be separated from you two. You guys are the most important people in my life. I can't imagine what it would be like without you guys."
"You don't have to imagine. He's gone. This is reality."
"Gosh darnit..." Cory kicked the wall. "I guess we'll just have to.. Uh.. Just do... Uhm... We just need to... We need to... We gotta... Uhm... Uh... Help me out, I'm freaking out here man!"
"There isn't much we can do. I guess we'll just have to wait for him to come back."
"How long do you think that'll be?" Cory tilted her head slowly.
"No clue."
"I hope it's soon..." Cory hugged Kawano tightly.
Cory and Kawano stood as the transporter lifted them up. Cory scanned the room. A group of what probably were siblings, a dragon dude, a nerd with purple hair, and another nerd with brown hair sitting next to him. The guy with brown hair looked at them, then looked away. Kawano blew away the hair that was covering his other eye.
"I'm bored." She complained.
Kawano bonked her. She hissed back at him. The brown hair guy started introducing the purple-haired guy to the other people in the transport. Kawano instantly started staring at him the second he spoke.
"Kawa, when is this thing overrrrrrrrrr-" Cory tugged on Kawano's shirt.
Kawano bonked her again. He put his finger over his mouth to tell her to shut up. She nodded softly.
"Sorry..."
Kawano watched as the brown-haired man talked. Finally, the transporter came to a stop. The doors opened and Kawano and Cory stepped out onto the nice green grass. She smiled as her eyes widened. The view was pretty.
"You think Seiko lives here?"
Kawano nodded.
"Sweet. Let's get searchin'." Cory said as she ran off.
Kawano sighed and ran after her.
