Leah poked Shio's face. He seemed to be staring off into space.
"Hey, bozo. Wake up." She poked his cheek again, then flicked his forehead.
"Ack- Sorry, Leah. I didn't get much sleep last night." Shio told her.
"Well try to stay awake. I mean, you're on a date with a pretty girl. You should learn some manners." Leah huffed.
"My bad." Shio nodded.
Leah snatched his coffee and took a sip of it.
"This is some good stuff." She nodded in approval.
"Are you a coffee lover?" Shio asked.
"Yep! I love coffee." She nodded again.
"That's cool. I like coffee too." Shio chuckled.
"Really? What's your favorite?" Leah tilted her head slightly.
"Uh... Mocha."
"Really? That's my favorite too!" Leah's eyes sparkled.
"Oh wow... What a coincidence." He chuckled again.
"I'm gonna order us some right now. You fine with more coffee?" Leah asked.
"Of course. I love coffee after all..."
"Great." Leah smiled at Shio as her arm shot up to call a waiter over.
She asked the waiter for two cups of Mocha. After she walked away, Shio excused himself to go to the bathroom. He walked into one of the stalls and fell onto his knees. He started vomiting into the toilet. After he finished, he lifted his head and wiped off his face with toilet paper.
"Ugh... I hate the taste of coffee..." Shio coughed. "I'll just have to suck it up..."
Shio flushed the toilet, washed his hands, then walked back to the booth where Leah was sitting at. He sat down and smiled at her.
"Ah, you're so cute." She giggled.
"You're cuter," Shio said.
The waiter came up and placed down their cups of coffee. Leah thanked her as she walked off. Shio grabbed his cup and took a sip. He flinched at the disgusting taste. Leah sipped hers with a cute smile. After they finished, Shio paid the bill and they made their way outside of the cafe and into the plaza.
"Thanks for the date. I really enjoyed it." Leah said.
"Thanks for coming. I had a great time." Shio nodded.
Then they both parted ways.
Leah poked Shio's face. Shio seemed to have been staring off into space.
"Shioooo-"
Shio looked at her.
"Sorry. I've been super tired lately." He sighed.
"Have you been getting enough sleep? You better not be staying up late studying. You need sleep." She scolded him.
"Yeah I have... studying to be a doctor is stressful." He said.
"Why do you want to become a doctor anyways?"
"I want to... I-... I just feel like it, I guess." He shrugged.
"There's a reason why. You're not telling me." She pouted.
"How would you know?"
"Your left eye twitches slightly when you lie."
"When have I lied?" He chuckled."The other day when you told me that you only had three other siblings. When you told me the other day that you liked Tiramisu. Aaaaand, every time that you drank coffee." She smiled at him.
