After knocking, Amelia stepped into the entryway of Felix's apartment. "Sir?", she called out, wondering where exactly he was in the large luxury apartment.

"Showering!, Katherine shouted a reply from the living room, "Finally!"

Amelia walked into the living room to see Katherine sprawled across the couch, painting her claws with black nail polish.

"Careful not to get that on the couch-"

"I'm sure you'll find a way to get it out for your boss, Miss Knight.", Katherine rolled her eyes, continuing to paint her claws.

Amelia narrowed her eyes a little, "I don't usually need to do that for my boss, because my boss is house-trained."

"Meow..." Katherine chuckled, putting the nail polish bottle away as she hopped over the back of the couch and swiped the binder Amelia was holding. "This looks important.", She guessed, trying to figure out what was in the binder from what little pictures it had in it.

Amelia just sighed, watching her search the binder for clues. Katherine was still very much illiterate, not caring to learn at all after Jason passed.

The top-secret business plans would remain so.

It didn't take long for Katherine to grow bored and toss the binder onto the couch. "I'll make sure he gets that when he's out the shower."

Amelia walked around the couch to neatly place the binder on the coffee table before taking a seat. "No worry, I'll give it to him myself. I need to go through it with him."

Katherine shrugged, "Would've got you out doing that, but suit yourself." She hopped over the back of the couch again, resuming her spot on it. After a moment of silence she turned to look at Amelia. "You know, I wanted to ask you something."

"About?"

"Felix- specifically, last night."

"Oh." Amelia immediately knew what this was about. She didn't expect Katherine to ask her about it. "I...took care of it."

Katherine smiled a little and shook her head, "No, you didn't."

"I did.", Amelia wasn't sure what else she could've done, "Your brother often gets overwhelmed with his work. Lately, more so. I know exactly how to deal with it."

"Pssht.", Katherine scoffed, "You don't do him any favours giving him drink and drugs."

"It takes the edge off.", Amelia narrowed her eyes a little, not liking her knowledge and abilities being questioned like this. "If there was another way to console him, I would do that. It's expensive, keeping his stash stocked. Your brother has very expensive tastes."

Katherine rolled her eyes a little, "Yeah, yeah, that's him." She continued, "There's a much cheaper way to console him though- free, in fact."

"And that would be..?", Amelia entertained the idea.

"Uh, actually console him?", Katherine raised a brow, "Maybe try give him a hug every once in a while, instead of temporarily numbing the stress and emotional pain that comes with being feral?"

Amelia gave a truly unamused look. Felix was unstable on the best of days. He was a mess. Surely a hug would break him.

"I've been your brother's assistant for quite a few years now. I think I know what works and what doesn't."

"And I'm telling you that you're wrong.", Katherine returned her unamused look with one of amusement, "There's no way you've worked for him this long and not clocked on to how he ticks."
