The days have gone by pretty quickly. Nothing interesting has really happened. Well, except for the fact that after the New Year's Eve party, I've seen a sudden change in Dimitri. Maybe it's because I gave him back his cufflinks or because I'm not as hostile towards him as I was before, but I'm not concerned about it.

Surprisingly enough, I've lost the energy to be mad and rude to most people, so honestly, I've just become indifferent. But I wasn't expecting my indifference towards Dimitri would make us speak almost as if we were old friends. I would be lying if I didn't say it; it was nice, but still awkward and strange as we were in new territory or a relationship we had never journeyed through.

I looked up at my teacher as he spoke about our new unit, absentmindedly tapping my forehead with a pencil. Marcus, sitting next to me, smirked, and I shot him a questioning look.

"What?" I whispered, eyebrows furrowed.

"Nothing; I just wasn't expecting to see you wearing the bracelet," he replied, nodding towards my arm. I glanced down, noticing the silver bracelet adorned with stars encircling my slim wrist. A small smile tugged at my lips.

"Yeah, I just forgot to take it off the first night, and now I just don't feel like it anymore," I said with a shrug.

"Is there anything that you both want to share with the class, Marcus and Stella?" Our teacher scowled at us.

"No, sir," we said in unison.

After class, Marcus and I walked out together. I turned to him.

"Hey, Marcus."

"Yeah, what's up?"

"Have you noticed Scott's strange behaviour?"

"Strange behaviour?"

"Yeah, James told me the other day that he's been sneaking out to meet somebody."

"Scott's dating somebody?"

"I assume, but I wouldn't know."

"Why don't you ask your brother?"

"The last time I did, he went off on me."

"Oh, yeah, you're right. In that case, I think things will just unfold themselves. Why ask me, though?" I nodded as we got closer to Marcus' classroom.

"I don't know. You're trustworthy, and, I guess, transparent."

"Transparent?" Marcus looked perplexed. "I am not transparent."

"Okay, fine. You're not transparent, but you're not mysterious either." Marcus seemed taken aback.

"Okay then, what am I?" He said as we stopped and stood outside of his next class.

"You're like Prince Charming." Marcus chuckled, looking down and then up at me.

"No, I'm not." He said it through hooded eyes.
