Ch 9: A Witch's Words

Arthur's P.O.V

It was nighttime and I was standing on a beach though it was a beach I've never seen before. The white sand glowed with a ethereal blue in the light of the full moon. The ocean had a green light to it and everything had a soft fuzziness to it. But not enough that I couldn't see clearly. I looked straight in front of me to see a figure floating on the calm water, in the air. The figure had its back to me. I stared, unable to look away. I realized the figure was of a woman, she was  just floating there, a (f/c) tail moving slowly as to not move her body. She wore a dress that seemed to be made of the ocean itself. Her (h/l) (h/c) almost floating around her, as if in water. She was still facing away from me staring out into the open ocean. Her body shook as if she were coughing, if she was I couldn't hear her, then Roses and rose petals red as blood  filled the air and floated around her head mixing with her hair and making a crude halo. I open my mouth to speak, but no sound came out. Only then did I realize that if was completely silent. No birds, no wind, nothing.

  The girl turned around in a single fluid motion, slowly as if in water, disturbing the roses around her head. She beckoned to me, as if  under a spell I complied. My legs moved on my own as I walked towards the edge of the water. When I stepped into the ocean I sank, unlike the girl yet I moved forward. Swimming to her, unable to stop or look away. As I got closer I started to rise out the water till I was walking on it. Now I was only a few feet from the woman, I noticed that she bore a necklace, an amulet with a silver chain and pendant, with a single round sea green gem in the middle. When I looked at her face I saw it was (B/n)'s face, with a start I realized the roses were coming from them, from their mouth thorns and all. The woman's mouth and chin had blood dripping from them, the blood also floated and came out as long stems full of thorns slid past her lips as she coughed again. The woman reached out to me before a look of fear washed across her face, suddenly the world felt upside down and I realized we were upside down standing on the bottom of the surface of the water, that's why everything seemed submerged.
"Arthur."
Her fear was quickly explained as I saw that the water around me was turning red. Blood I looked around for the source before looking at myself, poking through my stomach was a clawed hand. My body felt excruciating pain as I watched as it retracted and I started to sink into the depths of the ocean, the woman swam to me her (f/c) tail moving gracefully behind her and grabbed me gently, her  bloody mouth moved but no sound came out. The trail of blood and roses followed her slightly. 
"Arthur!"
All my pain suddenly stopped and her necklace glowed a bright sea green before exploding into dust and dissolving into the ocean. I started to float to the surface while she smiled a sad smile, and started to sink the life draining from her eyes as I moved to reach for her. Coughs wracked her body and more blood and roses filled the water making a morbidly beautiful trail after her. As she sunk into the blackness and I rose higher, I opened my mouth to scream-
