Liam's POV:
I pause, my finger barely an inch away from the send button on my bracelet.
My heart feels like it's gonna burst out of my chest right now..
"Just send it. No big deal..." If it wasn't a big deal, why was [Gray] floating beside me? "Because I might accidentally-" I cut myself off from talking to myself. My soul left my body for a moment as my finger went into contact with the bracelet.
"..." I breathe in- "Please don't send- god damn it!" My face went red as I hurriedly teleport myself into my dorm room.
"I did not just send that. It was meant to be a joke- actually, no. It was definitely made for Owen, but I just had to make it as embarrassing as possible, didn't I!?" I bury my face in my palms, my ears feel like they're on fire...
"..." I hopelessly watch as Owen's small icon appeared right under my message bubble...
"He read it.." I can't feel my face... It's fucking embarrassing... But... At least he knows..
I stand up, acknowledging the odd presence in my room. By odd, I mean the weird envelope on my desk.
I grab it, feeling the smooth paper in my hand pulse with fire magic, I move my fingers to feel the wax emblem sealing the letter.
"They're really excited to have me join, huh?" I open the letter, unsurprised that the fire magic that pulsed with energy now died down to a fraction of what its previous aura had been.
My eyes scan the printed text. Slightly annoyed that they'd assign a slightly lengthy task to me.
"Guard the Honor Guard.." I shrug. Despite the task being lengthy, the assignment is as easy as it can be. Well, easy for me. The order was to guard specific Honor Guard members. The members were listed on the bottom of the paper, each name unfamiliar to me except for three.
"Owen Bowels, Alex Gordon, and Candy Hollow." I narrow my eyes. The only reason they'd send a protection order was that the people listed are being targeted.
I growl, not really liking the idea of my wolf getting targeted. It makes it all the more troublesome to deal with if the pursuing party involved were to harm people beyond their targets. And that's assuming they're not gonna do anything beyond harming the targets...
" "The pursuing party's identity isn't stated. The motives are unclear. But their intentions are aimed at Etherea's students. Anyone who dares lay their hands on Etherea will think twice before attacking our college." " I grin at the final statement. The party involved must be decently powerful.
Etherea has many allies. Any villain stupid enough to attack the school would be sedated and put to jail in mere seconds of their their plan being initiated.
"Another test? No, the time for testing has already passed, according to my father and Sir Nex." I pause my thoughts for a moment, eyeing the source of the odd magic.
My gaze hovered over the pulsing symbol on the bottom of the page. "A spacial spell.." I smile, "Concealing the spacial spell with a fire spell... Cute." I eye the fountain pen near my keyboard and grab it.
"Spells like this require specific conditions for activation. This one seems like it was made to be activated by me..." I stab the pen into my left index finger, the blood seeped into the pen and I then stabbed it at the glowing symbol.
I waited a few seconds as the blood from the pen seeped into the symbol. Its light died down as spacial fluctuations appeared above the letter.
