"Have you guys heard about Nurse Prerna?" Isha asks us while we have our lunch in the canteen today.
"No, what happened?" I ask with curiosity, biting into my food.
"Have you been living under a rock? You haven't heard about her yet? She's from our department only." Gayatri chimes in from across the table.
"You have to hear this!" Ayesha says excitedly as everyone listens closely.
Dev, Akram and Yusuf of our group were sitting with the guys from other departments today. So, it was just us girls along with Isha and her friends.
"Yesterday, Nurse Prerna went into Dr. Rayyan's cabin and proposed to him with flowers, balloons and even cake... basically all the shenanigans. Whoever was in the corridor at that time heard their conversation." Isha says.
"Yeah! We all knew how obsessed Prerna was with Dr. Rayyan. But rumor has it that she planned on proposing to him because she came to know he's joined dating scene. She told one of the other nurses that she found his profile on a dating app and said that this was her golden chance to get "HER RAYYAN" before anyone else grabbed him up from the market." Ayesha says while laughing making quotations in the air.

"Oh... " I cringe as I hear her last sentence but listen quietly.
"Since a few days, many people, especially the ladies were making appointments with Dr. Rayyan in the pretense of asking him out on a date. Dr. Rayyan shooed them all off. But then, Prerna went into his cabin with full confidence with a proposal ring and a cake saying " MARRY ME RAYYAN!" out of nowhere. Dr. Rayyan calmly tried to handle it but Prerna was acting so crazy telling him that they could have cute babies and live happily ever after. He got so angry in the end that he fired Prerna and security had to literally drag her screaming out of the hospital." Gayatri finishes.
Fired?!! I feel somewhat guilty that someone got fired because of my prank but then I felt slightly better when I remembered the fact that she had even spread the rumor across the hospital that Dr. Rayyan was her secret boyfriend and they were going to marry soon making her the heiress of NM Hospital. She had already been obsessed with him for a long time.
"Does anyone have the link to his dating profile? I'm curious... I wanna see what's all the excitement about." One of Isha's friends asks eagerly.
"I can ask the other nurses. They might know... " Ayesha says hesitantly.
