We walked alongside the War Wheels. The trenches are in view.

"Fire!" I command. In unison, the three beasts sent their payloads across the field. The shockwave made me stumble. Cal caught me.

In the distance, I saw three plumes of dirt and debris go into the air and come down. Scores of Lakelanders are gone in an instant. Our trenches exploded with legions, Red and Silver. The War Wheels fired again, with the same result. Except, of course, I did not stumble.

We surged onto the frontlines, attacking their disrupted formations. We took No Man's Land and surged into their trenches. I climbed the nearest War Wheel as it rolled over the top of the trench. The ground of it was thick and muddy.

Their Red legions began to surrender.

We rolled over the next three trenches easily. Legion after legion surrendered. They were going to be taken to Norta and evaluated, one by one. Most will likely be released, maybe even come to help us later. Assuming the war lasts that long.

We met the first Silver legion.

"Strongarms!" Someone called out.

"Watch where you roll, I'm about to be in front of you." I called into the hull.

"Alright!" The captain called. The thing slowed to a crawl. I leapt off and ran to the frontlines. Strongarms were tearing through our legions. Our Silvers were doing good, but they were outnumbered.

I sent bolts of lightning into my enemies. Cal came running from behind me. He leapt and brought a fireball into the ground, releasing a flaming shockwave that knocked down everyone around it. He began fighting strongarms.

I saw the trademark bolt colors of the other electricons. Davidson's shield was defending the center War Wheel. Ptolemeus lead our Magnetrons.

Other enemy Silvers began to arrive. Swifts, Stoneskins, Oblivions, Nymphs, and Shivers. We fought wildly.

I was suddenly flung across the field. I got up.

A Swift hit me.

I got hit again. Water washed over me, then froze. A Strongarm approached me. A bolt of lightning crashed onto him, and he fell over, dead.

The Nymph and Shiver kept focus on me. The Shiver made an icy blade.

"Death to the Red-blooded whore!" He cried out. His blade melted, and I felt the heat rise. My encasement began to melt. I looked over to see Cal charging, enraged. I burst out of the ice in a flash of electricity and sent a bolt into the Nymph. She was flung under a War Wheel, which crushed her.

Cal had burned the Shiver half to death. He was choking him out now. I picked up a shard of metal and put it through the Shiver's face. Cal looked up at me.

"Thanks for the save, but we don't have time for revenge." I told him. I gave him a kiss on the cheek and returned to fighting. His flames told me he had recovered fine.

We stood over a field of captured Silvers, chained in Silent Stone, courtesy of Montfort's mines.

"We have brought you to your knees." I started. I raised my hand, showing my blood. "We, with blood as red as a rose, conquered you, with Silver coarsing through your veins.

"You were taught that we are inferior to you. Tell me, how could that be true now? Now that you kneel to an army commanded by more Reds than Silvers? Now that Silver blood is split just as much as Red or Ardent blood in these annoying, pointless wars your monarchs fight? And why? For their own power? They don't care about you, Silver or not. They sacrifice thousands of you so they can eat five course meals, drink the finest of wines, and wear silk woven by our hands!" I shouted.

"You will be locked up until we dethrone your rulers and implement a fair and just government. When this is accomplished, you will be freed, and monitored heavily. Once we trust you to not harm your fellow citizens on the basis of blood, we will return your privacy to you. This is the cost of your loyalty to Tiora." I told them. I turned away. "Take them to Corros. Its built for those with abilities. But, obviously, treat them better than Maven treated his prisoners." I told Cal. He nodded and went to begin the process.

I laid in an infirmary bed. The healer's hands are warm and effective. Cal entered the room.

"I thought I would have to make you get healing."

"I can be resposible now and then." I said. He gave me a kiss, towering over me. "And those Silvers did a number on me. I got hit by a Swift and turned into an ice cube by a Nymph and a Shiver. Figured that warrants a trip to the healers."

Others filtered in. Including Farley, Eve, and Arezzo.

"There you are!" I said. "Where's Tyton?"

Eve and Arezzo looked down. Farley came to my bedisde and looked into my eyes. Tears swelled in my eyes. "I sent him to his death..." I said.

"No." Farley said. I looked back to her. "He died getting the job done. He killed Tiora. Iris now sits on the throne. His death means something. He deserves more than you blaming yourself." Silence fills the room.

"You're right. We have reconquered that base you guys destroyed a while ago. They rebuilt it." I said.

"How kind of them to lend us a base." Farley joked.

"A new shipment of War Wheels is almost here. The original three are still up and running, no critical damage. Which means we will have six death machines by next week." I told them. "The Lakelands will fall. Soon."

"What will we do with Iris?" Eve wondered.

"Depends. If she even survives the battle, her life could be used as a rallying cry to the remaining Lakelander High Houses. Her death could make her a martyr." I said.

"Then her death would be preferable. A martyr results in fractured groups. A rallying cry does not. Execute her, and their Houses will fight each other for as much power as they can." Farley said. I nodded.

"Then Iris must die." I decide.

"Ma'am?" The healer said, looking up at me.

"Yes?"

"Theres... Um... Not a problem, really, but a surprise. You might want privacy." She said. Bree immediately began escorting everyone out. He closed the door. The healer looked at me

"What happened?" I asked.

"You're pregnant."
