Chapter 2:

HYUNJIN'S POV:

Today was just another shitty day. I knew I shouldn't have gotten too hammered last night...

Yesterday I had to go to another band meeting-it was just the same people; Bahng Chan, Han Jisung, Lee Minho, and Seo Changbin. We're a small but popular band called "Straykids", we've been having more meetings recently because we needed to start thinking of our upcoming song.

Unfortunately, we're all out of ideas. Jisung and I were usually the ones who'd come up with ideas for our songs. But school's been such a pain that it's burning me out-I'm pretty sure Jisung's been struggling a bit too. I haven't been doing very well in my english course so it's been becoming a major stressor.

So after our band discussions, I knew I had to distract myself. Usually I'd brush it off with a drink or a quick fuck, so that's what I did. The boys and I went out and got some drinks, after getting drunk I finally found my fling for the night. Turns out it was actually a student I've seen around at school campus a few times.

We had a quick fuck and then I was dragged out of
the club by Chan hyung, (I don't know how I would be able to survive without his surveillance) and I knew that all the aftermath of the alcohol would soon kick in the next morning...

However, after getting sober, I was once again reminded that I needed to get better at school- and needed to start working on the new song.

"I need to start my homework, and might as well start studying too..." , I noted to myself.

TIME SKIP-

It was already 8:22pm, I was still sitting at my desk- surrounded by towers of papers and workbooks from various subjects. I was once again blankly staring at the bright screen of my macbook, as it was sitting in front of me like it had been for the past few hours.

I threw my glasses off and ruffled my hair, I let out a loud groan as I dropped my head back against my chair.

"WHY IS SCHOOL SO HARD!!!", I shouted in frustration. It was already the second semester, Although I'm a sophmore- most of the curriculums were already becoming more difficult, especially english.

But suddenly I got a phone call, it was from Chan hyung... Why would he be calling me right now? He should be at the gym with Changbin-hyung or something...

Out of curiosity, I picked up the phone-

"Hyunjin!! Guess what!", his tone seemed happy, more like excited actually.

"Hey hyung, I'm kind of busy right now so it better be quick.", I responded bluntly.

"Okay okay, I bet you're about to rail down someone right? That's why you're telling me to hurry up? Haha!!"

"Stop hyung-I'm trying to get my schoolwork done actually." I said in an jokingly offended tone.

"Okay then, but seriously-I got good news about the band. I found someone new who wants to join, you might know him. I haven't gotten all the information on him YET but I'll get it soon. The guy just contacted me a few hours ago so I was just busy arranging the dates and stuff."

I sprung back up from my seat, my eyes widened.

"Wait- what? You're going to add someone new to our band? Why? We're doing fine right now, I don't see the reason in adding a new member."

"C'monnn Hyunjin, you and the guys should at least meet him and see what benefits he can provide for us! Plus- I already agreed and told him the day we're going to meet. Sooooo you don't have much of a say. I was just telling you in advance so it wouldn't be too surprising."

I was in disbelief. I know Chan hyung was the band leader and all but I felt so excluded as I didn't get to have a say in this.

"Wait so who's the dude? What day? What time? Do the others know about this?" I bombarded Chan with questions as I was already annoyed at the situation.

"Woahh chill there Hyunjin. I think you'll know him when you'll see him. We're thinking about meeting this Friday, the time's probably going to be a little after school-so many 4:30? And not everybody knows-just you and Changbin right now. I haven't reached out to Minho nor Jisung yet."

"Good, you probably don't walk in on them fucking-they're so horny for eachother." I scoffed as I sarcastically retorted back to Chan hyung's response. I heard a giggle through the phone.

I looked at the time and I noticed it was already 9pm, I sighed as I tried to say goodbye to Chan hyung-

"Hey hyung, I actually need to get some stuff done right now-it's about my english work and grades. It's been pretty rough lately."

There was a slight breath before Chan hyung responded-
"Ahhhh I see. Sorry Hyunjin-ah, just wanted to report the news, but have you thought about getting a tutor?"

I paused...then pondered- wait, should I get a tutor?

"Uhhh I don't know hyung, but since its getting late I'll think about it-you should get rest, your muscles are gonna ache tomorrow if you don't."

"Hehe thanks Hyunjin, I will so don't worry-but don't stay up too late. You should also be getting rest."

I smiled at the sign of concern in his words, Chan hyung was always comforting to talk to whenever I was going through a rocky time.

"Thanks hyung, I'll see you tomorrow. Good night~"

"Good night Hyunjin-ah!" 

And with that I hung up.

God.. what was I going to do now??? There were so many things going through my mind at this point. I had a LONG list of assignments to complete, and plethoras of exams I had to study for. I also need to start writing our new song-and speaking of the band, there's going to be a new guy coming this weekend!

I stood up and got myself a can of coke from the fridge. I stretched my joints and got myself ready. Why??Because I was going to try and complete everything by tonight. EVERYTHING!

TIME SKIP (AGAIN)-

"DONE!!!", I screeched in happiness but also exhaustion as I slammed my laptop closed and pounced onto my bed.

I was finally done with everything as it was currently 1:43am- I was already in a comfy pair of sweats with a tank-top. I was pretty ready to just doze off to sleep until the next morning. Normally I'd go take a shower and do my night routine but I was too tired to even get up.

So I just passed out right then and there. I crashed off to sleep as I was finally able to relax in my snuggly bed.
