Ineffable Christmas Oneshot 🎄
_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_

Christmas was a holiday Crowley never quite got the point of. Well, of course he knew the story behind it, but as a demon he had never paid any interest in celebrating before. So you can imagine his surprise when he walked into Aziraphale's bookshop and saw a brightly decorated tree in the corner, and garland hanging from the counter.

"What's all this?" Crowley asked, pointing at the decorations.

"It's Christmas, Crowley. I wanted to celebrate it with you. It is the happiest time of the year, after all." Aziraphale says, this big gleeful grin on his face.

"I'm just a bit confused as to why and how you have grey and green lights on that tree." Crowley says, and Aziraphale furrowed his brow in confusion.

"They're not grey, they're red and green." Aziraphale replies. "It's festive."

"Ah, alright then. I can't see that color, so that makes sense." Crowley says.

"What do you mean?" Aziraphale asks.

"Aziraphale, these--" Crowley says, removing his glasses. "can't see red. In fact, the only colors it seems I can see are blue, gold, and some green."

"You're colorblind?" Aziraphale says softly, his heart sinking at that realization. 6,000 years on this beautiful planet, and Crowley has only seen a fraction of the beautiful colors of The Almighty's creation.

Suddenly, Aziraphale got the most wonderful Christmas present idea...

-

Two weeks later, it was Christmas Day. Aziraphale and Crowley had spent the day with Maggie, Nina, and Muriel, and had exchanged the usual silly gag gifts between friends along with actual thoughtful presents.

Now, it was about 7:30 in the evening, it had begun to snow outside, frost forming on the windows. Crowley and Aziraphale were sat on the couch, curled up watching It's a Wonderful Life while Aziraphale sipped a mug of cocoa.

"Oh, I almost forgot!" Aziraphale suddenly said, setting his cocoa down and rushing over to the dresser, rifling in the drawer for a moment before pulling out a small box wrapped in gold paper. He sat back down next to Crowley, handing him the box.

"What's this?" Crowley asks, eyeing the box questioningly.

"It's your present." Aziraphale says softly. "Go on, open it." Crowley ripped the paper off, opening the box and finding a pair of glasses.

"I already have sunglasses, angel." Crowley says.

"Put them on, darling." Aziraphale encourages. Crowley rolled his eyes and slipped the glasses on, and he couldn't contain the small gasp that escaped his lips.

"Angel..." Crowley whispers.

"They're color correcting lenses." Aziraphale says softly, and Crowley looked at the decorations in awe. Aziraphale was right, red and green were...festive.

But what Crowley loved more was the reddish pink hue of the blush that crept across Aziraphale's angelic face, and the redness of his lips.

"Merry Christmas, darling." Aziraphale whispered.

"Merry Christmas, angel." Crowley replies, leaning in and pressing a soft kiss to Aziraphale's soft lips.

It truly was the most wonderful time of the year...
