Prologue

"She's coming?" Amber asked, sitting on the fountain's edge.

"Yeah." Wes answered, standing next to the fountain.

Romeo turned his head away from Wes to look at Mindy, watching something on her phone.

"Watch everything get worse." Amber said, turning her head to look at Romeo.

"What were we supposed to do? You know her mom isn't gonna tell her." Wes said.

"Yeah, and you know why." Amber said.

Romeo looked up, smiling when he saw Chad and Liv approaching them, taking out the earbud out of his ear and standing up to meet them in the middle.

"...I'm just saying, with everything going on, I think it's time we take our relationship to the next, most intimate level." Chad said, side hugging Romeo who accepted it with a smile, Liv wrapping her arms around Romeo who accepted the hug before pulling away and walked back to Mindy.

"He wants me to accept his Find My Friends request." Liv explained when she sees the confusion look on everyone's face.

"It's the safest move with a would-be killer on the loose! I know where you are, you know where I am--" Chad said but was cut off by his girlfriend.

"You can stalk me like a jealous boyfriend--" Liv said, smiling at Romeo who returned the smile.

"Is this because you two aren't having sex yet?" Amber asked.

"Don't do it, Liv, there's a psycho out there. Make yourself harder to find. Delete social media, tape over your phone camera, disable GPS--"

"Thank you, Edward Snowden. By the way, your mom just asked me if I was involved in Tara's attempted murder, so that was fun." Chad said.

Wes looks over to see his mother, Sheriff Judy Hicks standing by her cruiser with her deputies. She waves at him cheerily, proud mom smile on her face making Romeo smile at the sight.

"I'm sure she's asking everybody." Wes said, looking at Romeo who waves at his mother making him smile.

"Not just people like you, who look like 'roided out serial killers." Amber said.

"What about you, Amber? That Snapchat could have been pre-recorded, so what's your alibi?" Chad asked, looking at Amber.

"How could it be me? Tara literally saw the killer and me in the same frame, genius." Amber said, rolling her eyes.

"But aren't there always three or two killers in Stab movies?" Liv asked.

Mindy looks up from her phone. "The three killers is only the first movie. And not in 3 or 8. Stay in your lane, Liv." She said before turning to Wes. "The press still isn't saying Ghostface."

"Mom doesn't want to cause a panic." Wes said.

"It'll get out. It always gets out by the second or third killing." Mindy said.

"Jesus, Mindy -- there wasn't a first killing. Tara's alive." Amber said.

"Hm. I mean, she could still die--"
