(Heads up, I did a little rewrite of the last chapter, "Here Goes Nothing". Nonetheless, enjoy!)

United Nations

It was the funeral for great heroes that once protected the Earth alongside the Justice League: The Guardians of the Globe. Friends, family, colleagues, and even regular civilians attended the event, to honour their fallen heroes. The jets are seen, flying overhead, alongside with Omni-Man. He lowers himself down behind the podium, standing in front of the members of the League.

Omni-Man: I've fought the unimaginable in defence of this world. I've battled alien-tyrants, defeated nightmares from the deep, gone toe-to-toe with unbeatable titans. But no matter what threat I faced, I knew I wasn't facing it alone. Darkwing, Aquarius, War Woman, Mr. Martian, Red Rush, Immortal: The Guardians of the Globe. Today we have lost titans, protectors, heroes. And I myself, along with the Justice League are left to honour their memory and what they stood for. But so shall others like us.

Omni-Man looks at his son with a smile. Meanwhile, Batman stared with the rest of the League. This had to be the most impressive BS he's witnessed anyone pull off.

Omni-Man: New champions shall arise to the call, ready to risk everything to keep this planet safe. All inspired by these great souls who came before us. You will have moments of doubt, fear, and uncertainty. But in those moments, have faith...and look to the skies.

Omni-Man then flew up into the clear, blue skies.

Unknown Location

In an unknown garden location, another funeral for the Guardians took place. This time, there were few people there, as only friends, family, and members of the League were aloud. Even the Team was there to honor their fallen heroes. It was rainy whether. The skies were gray, reflecting the saddened emotions everyone felt. Everyone wore black attire, except for Batman, who was still in his costume. Plus, if he came as his alter ego, people would question how Bruce Wayne knew the Guardians. Megan sobbed repeatedly in her Uncle's arms. Kaldur and his King looked down at the grave of their fallen brother. Wally teared up slowly, as he felt angry and sad, falling on the floor. Wonder Woman hugs the coffin of her sister. And Robin just stood with the crowd, simply staring at the grave of the man he saw as family. Trevor then approached him.

Trevor: Do we seriously have to put everyone through this again?

Robin: The big one's for show, but the public can't know where the bodies are buried.

Wally was then seen beside Trevor.

Wally: ...Souvenir hunters.

Trevor: (disgusted) God!

Nolan then began another eulogy.

Nolan: I was never a Guardian of the Globe, but it was the Guardians, before the Justice League, who welcomed me when I first arrived on this planet. They were my mentors. My comrades. My friends. They knew the reality of this life. Mr. Martian was exhiled from his own people. War Woman came from a different age. And Darkwing...well, he was a lot like his own mentor. He built his own kind of solitude. It was pure luck that we found people who understand our path. Even luckier that they accepted it. I hope they rest in piece. But at least they will rest together.

Olga is then heard ugly sobbing, as she tried to approach her husband.

Olga: Let me see him.

Wally: Aunt Olga.

Barry and Iris tried to hold Olga back, but failed as she slipped into the mud, continuing to sob.

Olga: Finally he is standing still...and I still can't see him!
