Day 3.1

The ringing phone startles Taehyung from a drowsy session of lounging by the pool on the roof. He squints against the sun when he picks up.

"Hey, Jimin, thank goodness you called, I am so bored!" he whines, putting the phone on speaker so he can leave it on the little table by the bed and carry on lounging.

"Bored? Are you nuts? How can you be bored in that house....? Wait... did Jungkook leave you alone, the idiot?" Jimin gasps via the speaker.

"He apparently had something really important to sort out that just couldn't wait, he refused to tell me what it was.... he's been out for hours! Please entertain my sorry ass..." Taehyung isn't usually this pathetic but there is something about being away from home and alone that just makes everything worse.

"Oh, I found out that apparently the mystery owner of the house has so much money that the house you are in, is just one of his many properties, so it just sits empty for most of the year. Yoongi said that's why the guy is happy people are using it – you know, for added security. Crazy, right? Who has that kind of money? But tell me... what have you guys been up to?" Jimin asks in his best gossip voice and immediately, Taehyung's stomach flips at the thought of everything they have already done with Jungkook.

"Well... we may or may not have been a little bit irresponsible..." He giggles and a sigh sounds on the line.

"On second thought – I really don't want to know," Jimin says.

"As if I'd tell you, you big gossip, then everyone else in the whole world would know too!" He smiles, he loves Jimin but he also knows excitement sometimes gets the best of him and things slip, even when he doesn't mean to.

"Hey! I can keep a secret!!"

"Since when?"

"Since-" The sudden silence makes Taehyung check the call is still active. He puts two and two together, surely there can be only one thing Jimin could be secretive about...

"Ohmygod, don't tell me you've finally grown some balls my friend!? When's the big date? We are invited, right?"

"Invited? What-?"

"The wedding! C'mon! You can't not marry a guy with connections like this? Besides, he's crazy about you..." Taehyung says, then adds softly, "This place is absolutely nuts! Please make sure to thank Yoongi for us again."

"Y-yeah, have you been to the beach yet? It's the best part!" Jimin speaks loudly, clearly changing the subject at the mention of a wedding. Trouble in paradise? Taehyung wonders. He doesn't dwell on it, not wanting to rock the boat.

"What, even better than the house?" he asks instead.

"One hundred percent – I guarantee it! Take your man down there, you can stay the night, you know... unless you die of boredom before then, of course," he adds when Taehyung groans, realising he can't go straight away because a certain someone is missing.

"I should just go on my own, while he's out," he pouts. He wouldn't really, he'd much rather go together.

"No, it's worth going with Jungkook, I promise. Wait until it's nearly sunset, that's the best time!" There is something very dreamy about his tone.

"Sounds like you've already had some good times down there...?"

"How could I not?" Jimin chuckles in a particularly deepening tone that Taehyung knows can lead to only one topic of conversation... "Good company is everything..."

Taehyung is reluctant to hear Jimin's – often way too explicit – accounts of their love life, so he speaks quickly.
