This time, they are on the water for ten minutes. When they stop, there is nothing around, just sea as far as the eye can see and the island far off in the distance.

"Erm, where are we?" Taehyung asks while the engine idles.

Jungkook is beaming, because he knows what's about to happen, he's so happy they are here right now, to witness such a special event. It's once in a life time experience.

Tuan pulls out an orange cone that looks a little bit like a closed off megaphone. He climbs onto the back of the boat, where there is a small platform that folds out over the water, and he pushes the wide end in. He gestures for Taehyung to come over.

Confused, he climbs after the guide and wobbles a little on the platform. Jungkook rushes after him to hold a hand out from the boat, but Taehyung waves it away.

"What am I doing?" he asks Tuan, confused.

"Look into it, imagine it's like a pair of massive binoculars, it just helps you see what's underwater without getting in."

"Oh." He gets on his knees and lowers onto the narrow end of the cone which fits around his eyes like a mask. "Ohmygod!!" he screams as soon as the view opens up under him.

Hundreds, thousands of rays swim below them slowly, elegantly flying through the water column in an endless formation, as far as the eye can see. Taehyung jumps up, looking around them and he can see the group, some are near the surface, but the view is much, much more magnificent under the water, there are too many of the graceful fish for his brain to even comprehend.

"You can get in, if you want," Tuan says from the boat proper.

"No way," Taehyung giggles nervously, "they are so amazing but... it would be too terrifying." His voice softens. "Thank you so much..." he looks at Tuan first, then at Jungkook, eyes wet.

"How did you know they were going to be here?" Jungkook asks Tuan, genuinely curious.

"I have a friend who studies them, I got a heads up. They migrate every year. They won't be here for long, so you got really lucky." He urges Taehyung to keep watching and for Jungkook to have a go, too.

Tuan sets the boat on a very slow speed and they follow the flock for a little while from a safe distance.

"Do you want to dive on the reef, there is one a little nearer the coast?" Tuan asks over his shoulder while his attention is on driving the boat.

"No, I think I've had enough for today, my soul has been truly fed, thank you so much, both of you, for organising this." Taehyung says, eyes glistening, hand reaching for his boyfriend.

"Jungkook mentioned rays on his first call, asking if there were going to be any. I couldn't say until this morning, so we got really lucky," Tuan adds.

Right now, it really isn't possible to love a person more than Taehyung loves Jungkook, it simply isn't, he's just radiating with it. The fact that he would organise this, just for him – the fact that Taehyung is always on his mind...

"I feel so privileged to have seen it, thank you for bringing us here Tuan, really," Taehyung smiles, climbing back onto the boat. He beams at his man. "But I think we best head back now, I'm getting really hungry..." he rubs over his tummy and everyone laughs.

They pick up speed again. Tuan calls over his shoulder,
