A/N: It's so incredibly enjoyable to spend time in these entirely imaginary places and describe them to you, I wonder if they feel real to you? I'd love to know.🌿🌸🦋 Oh, I'm doing some important groundwork for a later chapter in this one, in case you're wondering... 😉
Special thanks to the person who showed me the clip that inspired the bath scene – you know who you are! I finally wrote it! 🤭✨

Their romantic night at the beach is rudely cut short by a sudden thunderstorm in the middle of the night. When the impressive lightning flashes over the expanse of the dark sea, Taehyung jumps at the sudden rumble over head – it sounds like the sky is splitting directly above them. His boyfriend slumbers peacefully next to him, totally oblivious to the threats of the sky."Jungkook!" he screams, shaking the naked shoulders, just when the rain drops start spitting from the sky, one large drop at a time, splashing onto the net surrounding their makeshift bed like a dire warning. "Wake up!"
"Hm... what?" Jungkook is still half asleep but it only takes a second for him to catch up when another streak of white flashes, painting the horizon in shocking fingers of light stretching into the darkness, instantly followed by a rumble the likes they've never heard before. "Holy shit, that's right on us!" he shouts, immediately scrambling out of the netting to join his boyfriend, who has already pulled a robe on and is desperately trying to get their things together.
A shrill scream sounds at another loud flash, it hits so close they can feel it on their skins and Taehyung is off like a rocket – but rather than run to the beach house, he heads to the jungle, by the time Jungkook looks, he's already on the path up the hill, running like a mad man.
"Tae!? You can't outrun it, it's here!" His laugh melts into an affectionate smile at the sight of the panicked steps up the hill. Yes, Taehyung hates the thunder, has always hated it, so there is little point in trying to stop him because it's obvious he is just going to keep going until he gets wherever he is going.
Quickly, Jungkook grabs the bedding and chucks it into the hut, he picks up his camera backpack and wastes a few precious moments looking for the house keys before he realises that Taehyung has already taken them.
"That cheeky..." He runs after his boyfriend, barefoot with his barely tied robe flapping in the wind with every step.
Even when it isn't about the chase, it quickly becomes about it when Jungkook catches the sight of Taehyung looking behind him, trying to judge the distance – not to the storm but to him.
He's suddenly wide-awake, adrenaline buzzing in his veins when his blood pumps, hot and heavy.
There is a moment when he almost catches up with Taehyung because he has stopped half way up the hill to try and catch his breath. He sets off just in time, squealing as if they're suddenly playing tag with each other, the impending storm already forgotten.
Then the rain truly hits.
The thick canopy holds it for a moment, but the sound is impressive, like someone just turned on a giant shower, then it starts dripping through the trees. By the time they are running through the exotic garden, they are soaking wet and giggling, their feet splashing in the giant puddles made in mere seconds when the water just pounds and pounds at them. It's cool and fresh.
Chests heaving, they run inside, their dirty feet squeaking on the floor when Taehyung struggles against the strong grip suddenly on his back.
"Come here, you... lunatic!" The words are soft, yet Taehyung hears the heat in them, and he struggles, the same heat flushing through him.
