Day 4.2

The first series of shots leads to a stunning photo where the blue blurs in a wide, messy line around Taehyung's hips where waves have merged into one, there is only a dark silhouette against the fading sun, the hints of glowing blue highlighting the contours of the naked figure just enough to see who it is. Even then, the skin looks so smooth and warm where the subtle light touches it.

But Jungkook is disappointed that he can't see his favourite part, which is the beautiful curve of Taehyung's hip, the way it dips into the waist, the way it extends into the slow curve of the thigh... It's divine and it's currently merging with the dark sky and the rocks in the distance.

"Pick up some water and drip it on your hip," he instructs his model.

Taehyung obliges but the stars shine only for a brief moment before disappearing. "Woah. It looks amazing, let me get ready for the next one, hang on. Okay. Three, two, one."

The effect doesn't last long enough to light the whole curve at the same time, Jungkook can't get the composition he's after with the little water Taehyung is able to hold in his hand.

"Hang on." He goes over and gets a shot glass. "Let's try this." It's better, but it's not perfect.

"Okay, I think I need to get in the photo with you and do it with something else, like a bottle, we need more light."

"Oh! Oh!!" Taehyung's hand shoots up like he's back at school, asking the teacher for a turn to speak. "Can we pose? Together? Pretty please...?" Jungkook already knows from the way he is pleading that whatever his boyfriend is going to suggest, is going to be a big ask – the lip is out.

"How do you mean?"

"If you get... let's say, a bottle, and fill it... then you stand behind me and pour the water on me... like... like I'm some merman!" he giggles, "You know, you've just found me and you're trying to keep my tail wet!" He grins, eyes shining so bright that Jungkook can see it, even in the dusk.

"Naked?" he hesitates.

"Well, of course, it's no fun otherwise! Oh! You can pour it on yourself too, then you can see both of us. Please?"

"Well... I'm not sure if I want my dick in it? You're just going to frame it and put it on the wall, aren't you?"

"No question about it! Of course I will! Well, just.... erm... hold the bottle so that you can't see it."

"Won't it just look like I'm peeing on you?" he titters.

"Oh... good point..." Taehyung sighs, "Let's just give it a go and see, maybe it'll stay in the shadows, or maybe you can edit it so that it is?"

"Okay, let's geddit."

They try a few poses out, giggling like children and they finally figure out what works best. In the end, Jungkook manages to pour one bottle of sea water on the back of his neck so that the blue falls down his front, while another wets the curve of Taehyung's hip at the same time.

By sheer luck, they do it.

The end result is positively magical, like straight out of some fantasy novel, a work of art more than a mere photograph.

"Wow!" Jungkook whispers.

"Lemme see!" Taehyung gets up, excited.

"Just don't touch anything, you're all sandy." Jungkook handles the camera with the thin robe in hand.

Taehyung can't help it, he plants a wet kiss on his boyfriend's mouth as soon as he sees the photo, he couldn't be happier with it.

Their shaded figures are surrounded by rich, dark colour, the warm shades of the sunset and the purples of the sky reflect on the sea which has frozen with the long exposure to look like glass. Their figures are lit by the glowing blue, spreading over Jungkook's shoulder and chest and over the curve of Taehyung's hip, the stars in the fabric of the sky are just like the tiny stars on their skins. The glow reflects from their eyes where they gaze at each other in deep thought, with so much emotion.
