Instantly, I smiled when my gaze met Zale's. The tentacle around my waist was as gentle as it was humongous, so I wasn't disturbed by its presence whatsoever.

"Welcome home Zale," the response came out my mouth so naturally, you would have thought we truly lived together for years.

Before I got an answer, a flood of bubbles erupted in front of me and the tentacle that had been holding me captive disappeared. Zale's towering human form was now before me, and his lips were curved in a captivating smile that exposed his bright white teeth.

"Did you manage to stay out of trouble while I was away?" came his deep husky voice that sent an involuntary shiver through my body.

"Yes, we didn't do anything that I would classify as troubling," I said with a smile of my own still in place.

"I'll trust in your word then, Yuki," Zale said before holding his hand out to me.

I reached out and placed my hand in his much larger one, leaving me to watch as he closed his fingers around my hand and used that grip to move me to swim beside him. As we made our way towards a giant set of doors I recognized as being the entrance to Zale's room, the four women who'd been left behind when I was dragged off, were there trying to push the door open.

Zale didn't say a word as he came upon them and pushed the door with a single hand, and with what appeared to be no effort or resistance it swung open.

'Wow, are we just super weak or is he unusually strong?' I thought to myself as the women didn't even bat an eye and just made their way to the giant shells that they had sat upon earlier. Zale pulled me over to the bed once again and he sat down on the edge right next to me.

Luckily for me, my tentacles decided to behave for once and stayed a respectable distance from Zale's long legs. Directing my attention away from the majestic man beside me, I looked over to the women who were shooting me sly looks as they directed raised eyebrows in my direction.

'I think I get what they mean by a difference in treatment... Zale doesn't even bother to have any of them sit beside him,' my thoughts were then interrupted by the very person I'd been thinking of.

"What did you do while I was away?" Zale's tone was cold and with a look his way, I noticed his gaze was directly on the four women whose expressions had sobered at his voice.

It was utterly silent for at least a minute before Mio's voice disturbed the building uncomfortable silence, "We took Yuki to the throne room and brushed each other's hair, then went to the kitchen to eat. That's truly all that happened Master Kana."

Her voice was shaking with genuine fear and that confused me because Zale had yet to give me any reason to fear him. Even when he spoke in the scarily empty tone he was using right now, all I felt was a state of relaxed calm.

"Good. So, you do know how to follow directions," Zale said it in such a way it implied he was being sarcastic, yet I had a feeling he was deadly serious right now.

All four of the women nodded their heads almost franticly in agreement, and I mentally sighed at how confrontational the mood had gotten in a matter of minutes.

"Zale, I told you nothing troublesome happened," I spoke up, directing my eyes onto the gorgeous man beside me. Whose red eyes moved from staring across the room to looking right at me; the look in those eyes sending a tingling sensation down my spine.

"And I trust in your word Yuki, just as I said. However, you are unaware of the things they have done and continue to do within my realm. That means without you even knowing it, you could be doing something that will get you in a lot of trouble," Zale's words were cold but the expression on his face was soft as he looked at me. The contrast took me by surprise as his beautiful gaze captivated me, rendering me unable to say a word in defense of the girls.
