The Heir and the Queen of KPop

CHAPTER 2

Frédéric is riding his Audi when his driver turns on the music. Fréd is a very cool boss that he lets his driver choose whatever music he wanna play inside the car. Lucas, his driver, turns the music up and to his surprise, "LALISA " is playing on the radio.

"Lucas! Turn that one up buddy, I like it! It's so sexy even though I don't understand a thing" Fréd laughed while talking to Lucas.

"Mr. Fréd, this is Lisa Manobal's new single-Lalisa. She's an amazing singer in Korea. The queen of the KPop world!" Lucas said

"I know, Lucas. But K what? K what world?" Frédéric is confused by Lucas' words.

"KPOP Mr. Fréd, Korean Pop i think is the meaning of it, not sure but yeah, KPOP! Hehe" Lucas said.

"Kpop.. so are you a fan of that KPOP?" are they only exclusive in Korea?" Frédéric asks

"I'm not really a KPOP fan Mr. Frédéric, any music that is soothing to my ears I will love, just like this one. I think it's about you being confident on your own and you want to know the real you. I might as well google it later" Lucas answered.

"You're sometimes crazy, you know that, so you know the artist. So tell me more about this Lisa.." Frédéric

"Lisa Manobal is under YG ent. Lisa was born and raised in Thailand, and since she was young she wanted to be a kpop idol so she auditioned for YG Entertainment. She was trained at an early age to become a pop star, I heard her family is wealthy as well. She's actually an heir, just like you. They have company branches in Thailand as well in South Korea. Her father is known for being a business tycoon and also a Master chef. However she chose to sing and follow her dreams- that's according to google, Mr. Fréd. Why are you so interested in this singer Sir? Do you like her? " Lucas teased his Boss.

"You're not funny Lucas, I'm just asking. Good for her, she's not stuck with the business industry, she's brave doing that, very admirable" Frédéric said.

"yeah I heard she's feisty and at the same time kind-she has many organizations in and outside Korea. Very noble I may say '' Lucas in his Latino accent.

"Hmmm She is, indeed" Frédéric said.

While on their way to his office, he closes his eyes and naps for a while. They arrive at his office after a 30 minutes drive. Lucas wakes him up.

"We're here Mister, we arrive at your building" Lucas

"Thanks Lucas, meet me here again before noon, yeah?" Frédéric.

"Sure, Mister. Where are we heading at noon by the way?" Lucas.

"I will be meeting a friend downtown" Frédéric

"Oh great, I'm rooting for Japanese food" Lucas.

"You always are, Lucas. I can't believe you're Latino, you hate tacos and burritos. But loves Japanese foods, you were born in the wrong country my friend!" Frédéric laughs while walking away from Lucas.

Lucas scratches his head with Frédéric's statement.

At noon..

"Let's go Lucas, better get moving, I'm starving" Frédéric

"Alrighty, Mister!" Lucas.

They arrived downtown in a Korean/Japanese Restaurant.

"Frédéric!" shout by a young man in front of the door! Spreading his hands welcoming Frédéric and Lucas.

"Gabriel Lee, you never change , you're as loud as always my friend!"  Frédéric giggled.

"Fréd, I just miss you, you know, I never see you for a long time , you don't miss me?" Gabriel.

"He has a nice accent, boss! I like it" Lucas whispered to Frédéric.

"And you don't?" Frédéric teased Lucas while walking away from him.

"But sir, my accent is Americano, it's smooth" Lucas defended himself and run to catch up with Frédéric

"So my friend, I don't believe you miss me, I know you see me because you need something, what is it? You can tell me now" Gabriel.

" I need your connection in your Home country Gab, I need to get information about a certain singer" Frédéric said blushing.

Lucas and Gabriel look at each other confused.. Lucas is now looking at Frédéric wondering why he seems very interested with singers now. Then he thought... It must be Lisa Manobal. Gab has no idea what Frédéric's thinking.

"My home country?? But you know I have never been to Korea for many years Frédéric, what exactly do you want my friend?" Gab asked Frédéric.

"I need to talk to your uncle Yang Hyun Suk, I want to know more about- Lisa Manobal" Frédéric said without any expression on his face. 

"You will what? You want me to talk to my uncle? I don't know about that Fréd, he's not a really good man, you know. That's why I decided to stand alone and be independent. He is my father's brother but when dad died I never contacted them again after they took everything from us." Gabriel Lee said.

"But I might or can pull some sleeves Fréd, I still have my cousins back in Korea." Gab said "I can't promise tho, but I will try to be in contact with my cousins , and ask everything about Lisa Manobal."

"Thank you so much! I will really appreciate it!" Frédéric excitedly hugs Gab

"Ughhhh Boss? Can we like, if you don't mind? Can we like eat now because I'm starving!" Lucas interrupts the two.

"I'm sorry, Lucas. Yes, let's eat '' Frédéric laughed due to his driver's statement. They started eating and Frédéric was really happy catching up with his college buddy Gab.
