CHAPTER 22

"Where are you?" Lisa in her cold tone, always makes Frederic shiver with fear. 

"Hi, my love! I'm on my way home, as you ordered" Fred tried to keep his voice low by saying the last words. 

"Love, don't be disappointed . I know you love spending time with your friends but I just don't want you to make a fool of yourself when you get drunk" Lisa explains 

"I know, I appreciate that. But because of what you did, they will all think now, that I'm whipped" Fred said and tried to sound irritated but that made Lisa giggle.

"Are you not, Baby? You can't say no to my charm, can you?" Lisa teased Fred and laughed at the end of the line. 

"Noooooo.. I'm a Arnault and nobody can tame me!" Fred said in a firm voice. 

Lisa finds it really cute to hear Fred like this. Despite Fred's image as an heir, there's always a part of him that is childish and playful. And Lisa loves it.  

"Of course, baby!" Lisa said sarcastically 

Fred rolled his eyes with Lisa's remarks. He arrived home and took a warm bath and was ready for bed. He then calls Lisa before going to sleep. 

"Baby, I'm going to bed now. I know You have a lot to do there too." Fred sweetly said to Lisa.

"Oh, yes baby. I'm packing my things now for the Asian tour. I will be having an early call tomorrow for the Asian tour. I will leave the day after tomorrow, okay?" Lisa informed Fred about her flight details.

 "Okay, baby. Call me okay?? Goodnight!" Fred said. 

The call ended and Fred went to bed. Both of them love the affection that each of them gave. They're like a real couple now. But Lisa will make it official soon before someone takes Lisa away from him. She's a beautiful and amazing woman, every guy will be interested of her.

 Next Morning 

"Mr. Arnault, here is the last revised contract for our South Korea project. The Big Boss (Fred's dad) reviewed it already and he says that it will be your decision to pursue the project or not." Claire said. She is Fred's secretary. She has worked with Fred for a year now.  

"Thank you, Claire. I will review the contract and you will have it back later this afternoon. Do I have any other schedule for today?" Frederic asked his secretary.

"Oh, yes. You will have a meeting with the hotel managers at 1400H and after that you're good to go, Sir" Claire gives the details concerning the meeting.

Fred's POV 

I still have 1 hour of free time before the meeting. I should call Lisa and ask her what she's doing. She sent a good morning message to me earlier saying that she's on her way to her company for the final instructions of the Asian Tour. She will leave tomorrow. I miss her so much. I will be very busy this week and I hope no-one will do something stupid that will distract me this week. Although Lisa is always my distraction it is a good one. I can't help myself from smiling at the thought of Lisa.

"Hello, Baby! What are you doing?" Fred said 

"Oh, hi baby! I'm home right now." Lisa answered 

"Home? Your home or your parents home?" Fred asked 

I never get the chance to see what Lisa's parents look like. But I'm pretty sure that her Mom will be as beautiful as her. And her dad is a mysterious one, he's rich but never did I see his face in any business magazine or forum. Well my dad and I too. 

"Yes, my parents house. I'm actually with my Mum right now, we are having a tea party." Jennie giggled " but just the two of us" she added 

"Wow. That's great to hear. I bet you're having a great time with your Mun" i said 

"Yes , I am! My mum and I are close" Lisa said.

"Alright. I don't want to get you distracted from your Mom and Daughter time so I will just call you back later" I said. I know that they only seldom see each other because of their own career so I will not intrude. 

We hung up and said our goodbyes.

Lisa's POV 

My Mum was looking at me when I answered Fred's call. I can see that she is curious about who my caller was. I wasn't able to get the chance to tell her about Frederic, don't get me wrong but we seldom see each other and Fred and I are not official yet so, I want to tell her and Dad when we are exclusive. But since Fred called and made my Mum curious, I guess it left me with no choice but to tell her, if she asks.

"Hmm.. You look happy receiving a call? Mind telling me who that person is?" Mum said and looked at me suspiciously.

"Hahaha Mum, I am happy. And that is Frederic" I said 

"Frederic? A french guy? Hahaha I didn't see this coming baby!" My mum said 

"Uhm Mum, can you not call me Baby?" I blush when I say that 

"Hahahaha why? Is he calling you Baby? Oh well that's awkward, but fine. I will not call you again, BABY" Mum emphasizes the word BABY at the end , teasing me I really love my Mum, 

"Mum, he's Frederic Arnault from France. I like him Mum, like I really really do." I said. Mum looked at me and smiled. "He's an heir to a multi billion company, I'm afraid of what others may say about this. We are not yet official and we are taking it slow, but every time I see or talk to him, I just can't help myself from smiling and butterflies in the stomach do really exist" i added.

"Lisa Manoban, I raised you well enough to know that what matters most is your own happiness. People will say something whether you do good or bad. There will be bad people in this world , all you have to do is to avoid them. You can't choose who you will love, Love will come to you." my mum said while holding my hands and looking at me with pride.

I can't help myself, I cried because of happiness.  

"Thank you so much, Mum. But what about dad? " I asked her 

"Your Dad, is a great man Lisa and I assure you that he will be more than happy to know that you have a great relationship with the Arnault" she laughed and I was curious about her last statement. 

"What do you mean, Mum?" I ask her back 

"Arnault's are our company's new business partner, Lisa. But don't tell Fred that we are the Manoban that asks for their partnership to open a Hotel here in Korea. Your father really likes how the Arnault works. So he decided to send a proposal for a business partnership and the last time I heard, only The heir signature is needed. Which means we only need Fred's signature to close the deal" Mum said.

I was really surprised with my Mum's revelation. So Fred and I are not only having a special connection but the whole family. The Arnault-Manoban Empire is raising up. I'm so excited about what's going to happen. I will be leaving Korea with a happy heart.
