"Why they look so intense?" Yuki asks Mon when they see their the group of friends are discussing something. Mon shrugs her shoulder.
Mon and Yuki comes in together after finishing their class, to join their almost daily hangout, while the other three looked in a serious conversation. Khun Sam seems to be missing! Hasn't she arrived yet? Does she have late class today? Mon's brain asks so many questions in distance of a few seconds!
"Where is Khun Sam?" Mon asks them.
"She'll join us later Nongs, come have a seat" Kade says.
Mon takes the seat beside Jim as she's sitting alone this side of the table while Tee and Kade are across her.
Tee makes space for Yuki , subtly indicates her to sit beside her and Yuki follows. Mon doesn't fail to notice that. 'These two are acting more and more suspicious day by day' she thinks.
"Sam's birthday coming up!" Jim says.
"Really when?" Yuki asks excitedly.
"On the 8th!" Kade replies.
"What? 8th? It's just 5 days away from now!" Mon says, how will they plan anything good in this short period of time? Is that why they looked so serious because they just started making plans? They should have started that earlier.
"Yes!" Jim response, seemingly complaining.
"Annnddd???" Mon pushes,
"There is no plan !"
"What?" They aren't planning a party for their most special friends? Why?
Mon's a bit confused here especially with their response. They're a kind of friend to go all out for, even in smaller occasions. Just a few days ago it was a huge discussions before going to a Art gallery opening. But they all are sitting there quite and stiff, that too on their favourite persons upcoming birthday. Why is that?
"Fussy doesn't celebrate her birthday Nong Mon!" Jim says as if she read Mon's mind, "that's why we aren't planning any party!"
"What? Why?" Mon frowns, why won't anybody celebrate their Birthday, if they have the capability!
This time Tee speaks up "We don't know the reason Nong! It's been years and we've been trying from the very first year of our friendship. But she never, never agrees. Always ignores the question saying, there's nothing extraordinary about birthdays! It's just like any other day!" No it is not.
"But it is not ! It's her birthday, birthday's are always special!" Yuki says.
"Right? We know that! She even refrains from having any kinds of gifts!"
"Does she like this kind of spoils sports on all of your birthdays too?"
"No!" , "not really!" They shake their hand.
"She gives the best gifts though!" Jim says nonchalantly
"Oi! You're only after gifts!" Kade hits her shoulder.
"I'm just stating facts. You see Nong, she does gives best gifts compared to these two!" Jim points at Kade and Tee and they both throws dagger at Jim's direction. Before this gets out of hand Mon speaks up,
"Then why exactly she like that on her birthday ?"
"Trust me, we also wanted to know about that for long time now. But unfortunately she won't speak up, so We don't know!" Kade says
"Maybe you could ask her Mon! I'm sure if you insist she'll tell you!" Jim says, throwing a look at Mon.
Jim pushes "and if we're lucky maybe this year we can finally throw her the party we desire! Please Mon, try for once!"
