The Raven queen

Chapter 8

Zinna messed up a big time....she gave me a white Raven baby and here we are pitch black, let me tell you we are black like midnight and the baby white as snow.  I have stopped Asher from meeting with his son for long but now how will I stop him ? He wants to conduct the feather ceremony grandly , now what ?

" Wise owl please suggest something , what should I do ? Zinna....I thought she finally did something good for me but...." now what should I do ? If lying to king is crime than what will happen if he thinks I cheated on him ? No , no , no I have to do something.

" Zinna told she brought egg for another queen too , I think that was a white raven queen and she got confused and delivered wrong orders..." said wise owl. And I think she is right but what should I do now ? I can't  just leave him alone because he can't serve my purpose. Its not his fault that Zinna messed up with the delivery.

" Feather ceremony can be managed , we can just dip him in black ink and no one will know a thing but as he grows .....its going to be a tough job my queen. " said the wise owl and I know she is right.

" Do what should be done....let me go and pay my respect to lord Saturn and ask for forgiveness for I used his name to achieve my mission. He must be very angry. " I said the wise owl and flew away from her nest.

I flew away from my jungle , its raining heavy but I don't want to stop. I soaked myself in the rain trying to wash of some of the guilt that I carry in my heart. Its a heavy burden but one must do it. The cold water shivered my bones but I have to keep flying. I am running away like something is following me and if I stop its going to engulf me in that darkness from where I could never get myself out.

soon , I felt my jungle  and came far from it near a town , the lush greenery turned into large buildings , they are so packed together , the fresh air turned into smoke and dust but I still kept flying and sat near the big Saturn temple. lots of humans standing in line to pay their respects and its a busy place.

I sat near the temples window on a branch of tree , I showed my respect to lord Saturn by pouring oil on his idol. people taking out their boxes ( mobile ) and shooting as I pour oil and flower to the lord. I like when they do it , it makes me feel important and valued. The human priest offered me some fruits and I gladly eat them. The crowd increased and I came back to my branch.

I can't run forever , I have to face what is there for me. Another battle to be fought , lord Saturn be merciful , I am tired of all this battles. I was getting ready to leave at that time I saw a person selling some boxes of colors , it was a dark black color and he was shouting ' colors....colors...waterproof colors , once painted the color will not wash off even if you want. " his shouting got my attention.

lord Saturn has been merciful on me....now that color can help me. But taking color from here now can can be little difficult, its okay I will send some of my people later and take the color. I flew and came back in the wise owls nest , its almost night and she is wide awake. As I saw at Edward I saw him with black feathers sleeping in the nest.

" I painted him black....the color is going to stay for a week , we have to do something. " she said. I nodded , the feather ceremony can be done nicely , where king will proudly show the world his son for the first time. Even I am ready for the battle.

" I will meet with king and inform him about the Feather ceremony, you rest my queen. " said the wise owl and she flew in the dark in the hope of good hunt. I walked towards the little one lying comfortably in the nest of hay and straws , I covered him in the warmth of my wing and he snuggled more , half awake from his sleep he whispered " Mummy ~ " I pulled him close and told " Its okay Sweetheart go back to sleep , its not morning yet. " he dozed off again. I promise , I will protect you my son. 

IN THE DARK CORNER OF THE JUNGLE -

WISE OWL ( POV )

I stood near a nest which is covered with long bushes of flowers , the nest is on the ground kind of build like a cave , with lots of beautiful moon plants hanging from it , one may think its for the design but l know the decoration is for hiding the thing which lives there.

" Oh my ! is that wise owl standing outside ? " came the thin voice which sends shivers down my feathers. " Yes , my queen its me . " I answered dutifully. There was silence than came the voice " what news do you have for me wise owl ? " asked the voice , " Tell me the queen has not suspected you yet ? Tell me everything . " asked the voice whom I never saw even with my special eyes.

" No , that raven queen has not suspected me yet , she doesn't know I am reason she is childless for so long , it was me who did it to her , it was me who send viper to attack her and her suspicions grew towards that  Raven priest who have no idea what is going on....I just informed his viper that the royal priest has ordered him to kill the new prince before he hatch's. And that good for nothing fool agreed and got lured to death which I planned for him. And the priest thinks queen Shelley is responsible for vipers death , he thinks she killed him because she has a dislike for the priest.  I know all the dark secrets of the Queen... just permit me and she will be finished. " I told her as hatred flowed in my vain.

" Relax dear , I know you are restless to take your revenge , even I want that but in correct time and correct place , queen is surrounded with villains , people she thought her own back stabbing her...just waiting for the correct time so that we can slice her in one bow. " said that voice , a new plan revealed and I am happy with it.

" Than I shall take leave. " I said and flewed away from that site. Its time to meet that worthless king and do my work. let them enjoy the time they have cause very soon their happiness will turn into utter darkness . They will cry blood.
