3rd person POV
4 years agoIts been 2 years since the night Desiree had to leave New York.
She was now the mother to a beautiful little one year old and everyday she saw how much Delilah looked like her father.
They laughed the same, their smiles were the same, they had the same brown eyes that would sparkle when they were happy.
Every day Delilah looked more and more like David. And all the way on the East coast David was wondering what Desiree was doing.
He thought about her everyday.
He didn't understand why she would go so suddenly. Why she would leave him high and dry after saying she was inlove with him, saying she wanted to marry him and become the mother of his children.
No David didn't understand one bit.
He was at a party and it reminded him of the night he met Des. The vibe matched and soon his little brother Ethan had begun searching the room for a boy to put his brother on.
And like it was magic David spotted a girl with so much resemblance to Desiree.
Her hair was the same as the night they met, outfit, vibe. She was Desiree in a nutshell but god she didn't have a pull on him.
Desiree was like a magnet that pulled David to her. He was drawn to her like Mickey to Minnie.
Will to Stella.
Ravi to Pip.
Tony to Jessie.
Alexander to Eliza.
Naveen to Tiana. The list goes on for miles.
Everybody who has ever been in love can tell you how down bad David was for Desiree.
But she wasn't there with him right now, she was gone.
David watched this girl on the wall. She couldn't compare but all his friends were pushing him to talk to her so he got up and made his way over.
She was wrapped up in her phone but when David approached her she quickly looked up.
"Hey my name's Dd," the boy smiled at her and she smiled back.
"I'm Crystal," The girl wasn't as shy as she was acting.
She was outgoing, she was funny. Couragous. But she was manipulative, narcisistic. She cared about no body but herself and she was spinning her web around David.
The pair talked and danced all night but it wasn't the same as when he met Desiree. This girl seemed like she was always far away in her mind.
When the night was over she didn't give David a sweet little kiss good bye or a hug.
She whispered in his ear something that would to the beginning of something bigger than David himself.

A few weeks before Desiree arrived back in town David was still on and off with the girl from the party. They were casual and exclusive all at once.
They were really toxic and always were in an argument that ended in David calling her all types of names.
All he ever thought about was Desiree and how he just wanted her back. She raced his mind every second of everyday and he did the same to her.
All the way on the West coast Desiree was begining to pack some things up for their trip to New York.
She had the worst anxiety when it came to this trip.
She was scared she'd run into David and he'd be mad about Delilah. She loved her daughter more than life itself and she wanted to protect her.
She was even thinking about cancelling the trip and just spending another summer in L.A. or Hawaii.
Her bestfriend Nailea was by her side always convincing her that this trip was a good idea.
Nai was the only person who wanted to be friends with the teen mom. She wasn't scared of Delilah ruining plans, instead she embrassed the little girl always including her in what was planned.
"Desiree there is nothing to worry about," Nai laid her head on Desiree's shoulder. "By now I bet his lame ass rap career has taken him somewhere like Miami."
But to Desiree his career was lame. She wanted to be there supporting him, front row at his shows, in the studio with him. Kissing him after a show.
That reality was taken away by her parents and it was one she longed for.
She hadn't taken another lover since she moved away.
There were plenty of guys who wanted to be with her, even with Delilah in the picture. She just couldn't see herself with anyone else other than David.
David must have felt the same way because he ended things with Crystel.
"What the hell David!" She screamed in his face. He didn't even blink.
"We're done Crystel," He move his hair from his face. He couldn't be in this relationship anymore.
She was a distraction from his feeling for Desiree. She wasn't very good at that though.
His mind often wondered to thoughts of Desiree when they were together. He saw how she couldn't compare, she wasn't even close.
Desiree was so so sweet, caring, loyal. She was the girl his mom saw him marrying. Desiree would kiss him slowly and softly, letting him know she loved him with her whole heart and soul.
Crystel did none of that. She only cared when it directly effected her and her lifestyle. His mom hated Crystel and she would either leave the house or lock herself in her bedroom whenever the girl was over.
"After all this time you just gon' leave me David?!" Crystel punched his chest.
He didn't flinch and when she saw she couldn't hurt him physically she decided to hurt him emotionally.
"No wonder Desiree ran from you," She laughed as tears formed in David's eyes. "God, she probly has a new boyfriend. Shes probly getting ready to have his kid and not yours."
David let a tear slip before he pushed past the brunnette.
She said the one thing she knew would hurt his feelings. She knew that Desiree was a sensetive subject in his mind but she also knew that was just the thing to hurt him the most.
As the boy drove him he had tboughts of Desiree and her new life.
He wished his was apart of it. He was wishing he was the one to hold her, kiss her.
God he wanted her to be his again.
