|30 minutes before Ophelia gets there|

A few days ago, I noticed a moving pod had appeared in front of our old next door neighbors house. I ignored it at first but as the days went by, the curiosity consumed me and I got tired of wondering.

After fixing my hat so that my tied back dreads could fit, I make my way downstairs to be met with my brother sitting at the kitchen island eating a sandwich and my mother writing in her thick word search book we bought her for her birthday. "Finally! You know you're starting to take longer than me to get ready and that's saying something." Bill says looking over to me. I just roll my eyes and walk over to the fruit bowl and grab a green apple.

As I pass my mother to go to wash off the apple, I can't help but ask her what's been pondering on my mind these past few days, "Hey ma, do you know who's moving in next door? I noticed a moving pod sitting in front of the house a few days ago." I ask while drying off the apple and taking a bite. "Nope, but I do know that it's an out of the country moving pod, so they should be here today or tomorrow since it arrived a few days ago." She says, not even looking up from her book.

All I do is simply nod and let out a hummed response before walking over to my brother who was still eating his sandwich. "Can you hurry up so we can go, you're slow eating is making us late." I state while throwing away my apple core. "Oh please, we were already late because of you." Bill retorts. He finishes his sandwich and puts his dish in the sink before walking over to the front door. "See ya ma, we will be back soon!" Bill yells before shutting the door. We had practice with our other band members.

As me and Bill walk in silence, we end up walking past our neighbors house, "I wonder who's moving in?" Bill says aloud. "Me too." Was all I replied with. I just hope our new neighbor has a hot daughter or two.

"DAKOTA LETS GO!" My mother yells from the front door. We were starting to leave for the airport. U-Pack had already took our stuff to Germany and everything should be at our new home once we get there.

My sister finally runs out of the house carrying a tote bag on her shoulder full of her carry-on things and gets into the back seat of the rental car next to me, pushing me over in the process. Our dad starts to pull out of the driveway and makes his way to the airport.

The car ride there was somewhat quiet and calm with the slight sound of the cars radio playing in the background, other times it was me and my sister blasting music from some CDs we had left in the car and having fun together or fighting because we were in each other's space and having our mother threaten to throw us out the window, but we finally made it to the airport in one piece.

The airport was big but it was even bigger on the inside. It was kinda busy that day so there were many people moving around trying to get to their flights on time like we were.

Everyone starts making their way to security check. One by one, we each went through the metal detector and passed until it got to me. I completely forgot about my belly ring.

The security guard pulled me aside to pat me down but before he could, I lifted up my shirt right at my midriff to show him my piercing. All he does is nod and let me pass. "What was that about?" Dakota asks. "I forgot about my belly button piercing." I say shrugging. "You're so stupid." she giggled. I look in front of us to make sure my parents weren't paying attention, "Fuck you." I whisper to her while discreetly flipping her off. She just scoffs and continues walking behind my parents with a huff while I quietly chuckle to myself.
