Kanae turned the page to her book as she sipped her tea.
"It's interesting how dogs are so cute, yet ferocious." She said outloud.
She looked to her left and saw Sanemei asleep.
"His wounds are getting better." Kanao said as she walked into the room with a wet towel.
"His pulse is getting stronger, and he is responding to stimuli such as you and food."
Kanae smiled and sighed.
"I can't believe how easily he cut us down. We train so much, and so hard just to be cut down like lambs to the slaughter.
Kanao looked at kanae and then at the floor.
A long silence filled the room.
"What did he say to you." Kanae asked.
Kanao had a blank expression.
"He called me pretty.......he said that my face shouldn't be cut. He had his... girlfriend, examine me."
Kanae looked at her and had tears formed in her eyes.
"He took my sword and killed people with it. He brought it back and forced me to clean it."
Kanae ran to her and hugged her.
"I......I'm so sorry."
Kanaos lip began to quiver.
Kanao had never felt fear when facing a demon. She had never felt anything at all.
But this demon.....this Uppermoon had managed to force it out of her. It was almost if he had changed her. Part of her hated him for it, but some sick twisted side of her loved it.
She sobbed in kanaes arms as she comforted her.
The two sat there, together, comforting each other.
Nezuko floated through the mountain, admiring the Forrest.
Gyutaro swatted the bugs away from his face as he watched nezuko.
"Nezuko, I get that we had business here, but why do we need to talk to such weak demons?"
Nezuko turned to Gyutaro and sighed.
"Because I want to."
Gyutaro sighed in an annoyed tone.
Nezuko felt the wind blow through her hair.
"The sister....." She said, turning to a young looking demon.
"Who are you. You are in my family's territory." She said, raising her hands to intimidate nezuko.
"I would not suggest even raising your hands to me, little one."
Nezukos' hands began to burn with a pink fire as she tapped her temple, pointing to her eye.
Upper 2
"B....Brothers superiors."
She tried to run away, but nezuko appeared behind her.
"Take me to him."
The little demon shook with fear of her.
"Now." Nezuko said, losing her smile.
The girl immediately turned to lead them both to Rui.
As they approached his house, Nezuko saw many dead demon slayers all around the forest.
"So disgusting." Gyutaro said.
Nezuko smiled as she continued to move forward.
"Rui," nezuko gently sang.
