Later that evening a thundering knock sounded on her door. She jumped at the sound. Alandra stood up and threw open the door.
There he stood. The ultimate source of her misery.
Vlad Dracula.
Alandra scowled.
" What?" She growled.
"Why did you strike me in such a manner?"
She scoffed.
" You really are oblivious, aren't you."
A blank stare from the dark haired man. She crossed her arms.
"You made me angry. I hit you. As a matter of a fact, I am still angry with you. I might do it again."
He looked slightly taken aback.
" Why?"
She flung her hands in the air. " What the hell is the matter with you?! Are you that dense?!"
He scowled " I am not dense, just confused. Why are you angry with me punishing the rat who dare come in you bedding chambers in the middle of the night?"
She threw her head back.
" I invited him! Just to talk damn! What kind if harlot do you think I am?!"
" Why would you wish to talk to a low life?"
Alandra rested her head against the door frame.
" Who else am I supposed to talk to, you ass. I'm isolated. In a fucking castle."
She looked up at him with icy eyes.
He was silent.
" Oh, have you forgotten I'm not here because I want to be? I am miserable, my life consists if getting dolled up for a man I don't know, eating and living here. In my room."
He shuffled slightly.
" I spoke with him because he understood me! You took that away!"
She felt tears burn at her eyes. She stared at the vampire, his hair was as dark as ink as it fell in waves behind his head. His pale skin was a stark contrast to his all black attire. He just made her so angry.
Alandra shoved Dracula.
"You took everything away!"
She wiped her tears, sniffing.
"You want me to love you? I will never stop hating you!" Her voice was cracking.
" Alandra-" He began.
"NO!" She screamed.
She watches the storm if emotions roll across his face. He did nothing.
She pushed him again. " DO SOMETHING DAMN YOU! YOU NEVER DO ANYTHING! "
" What do you want me to do!?! Everything I do causes you pain!"
Her resolve crumpled. She was crying harder now; since when had she become so thin skinned?
Dracula reached out a hand as if to console her but thought better if it, he retracted his hand.
Alandra had slumped against the wall.
" I don't wish to cause you pain. Only want to make you happy. It seems as if I had failed. "
He left her crying in the hall.
