loyal.as the men's volleyball team arrived, the girls were buzzing with excitement for the upcoming match. playing against each other wasn't a novelty; in fact, it was a regular occurrence during their free time.
however, it never failed to invigorate them, adding an extra layer of fun to their court time, especially since they were all quite close, particularly the third years.
"mayu, remember kunimi and kindaichi?" iwaizumi called out, gesturing to the familiar first-year duo standing behind him, appearing a bit shy.
mayu gasped in delight, "my babies are here!?" she exclaimed, rushing over to kunimi and kindaichi, enveloping them in the warmest hug. kunimi relented to the embrace, and kindaichi chuckled, "hello, yuyu-senpai." he greeted.
kunimi and kindaichi had attended the same middle school as mayu, tooru, and iwaizumi. introduced to mayu by iwaizumi, they quickly became like younger brothers to her.
the duo had even coined the nickname "yuyu" for mayu, a term that had warmed her heart and solidified her affection for them ever since.
"i'm thrilled you both took my advice and ended up here! i've missed you guys so much." mayu expressed happily, giving both the first years affectionate pats on their heads.
