Chapter 10 (Last Chapter)

School's tiring but I tried to update. Goodbye, summer!

Narrator: It was a beautiful day at the school Fairy Academy. Everybody were chatting about the news about Natsu and Lucy getting married after high school. It was too early, but they never really cared. It was the two of them that mattered.

Just kidding. They were really talking about the upcoming Fairies' Spring Ball of the school. Boys were getting crazy about asking their partners for the dance. All must have partners. And almost all of the boys got lucky about their dates while the others.... not.

All were having a good day but... Romeo and Wendy have the opposite of everyone's mood. In the whole batch of fourth year students (they are fourth year students), they are the only ones who does't have parteners. It was really okay for them to be partners.. if only they weren't having an awkward situation. One from the camp, and the other from the Marriage Booth. Both realized that they liked each other.

Mirajane: Does everybody have their partners?

Class (except for Romeo and Wendy, in chorus): Hai.

Mira: Ok, good. Please stand up, everyone. Go to your partners. We'll practice the Spring Ball for an hour.

Narrator: Then, everybody stood up. Except for Romeo and Wendy....

Mira (asking like what the heck?): What're you doing, Romeo and Wendy? Why aren't you two standing up? Don't tell me that you two don't have partners yet. (slowly lifts her eyebrows inquisitively at Romeo and Wendy)

Romeo and Wendy: *silence*

Mira (OTL): You two never get the hang of it. If you two don't have partners yet, then why don't you make each other your partner for the ball?

Romeo and Wendy: No way!

Mira: Why?

Wendy (in her mind): B-Because he's my.. crush?

Romeo: Just because. (in his mind) Why am I feeling sweaty all of a sudden!?

Mira: Whether you like it or not, you'll be partners.

Natsu (raises his hand): Hold up. I object.

Mira (super annoyed expression): What now?

Natsu: As Wendy's brother, I am worried about the safety of my sister in his hands. She's our little princess, and so she must be taken care of very well. I do not want any man to just hold her hands like it was nothing. (glares at Romeo)

Romeo (rolls his eyes)

Natsu: But....

Mira: But what?

Natsu: If he really want my sister that well, (sneaks a glance at Romeo) he must pass my test. The pass that a brother gives when someone wants to court his sister.

Mira (slaps Romeo's back): You know what to do, kiddo.

Romeo: What? You mean, I'm going to court Wendy? Like that'll happen. (in his mind) Hah. But my heart shouts otherwise. Cliché. Hm. Yeah. I have a crush on this girl. But never mind.

Wendy (in her mind): It's like I received a rejection earlier than I expected. Oh my. Why do I sound so sappy and sad? No! I'm not a drama queen! I'm what they call the prank queen! A girl who loves to prank other people so much! Why does this have to happen to me!?

Natsu (notices Wendy's disappointed expression, at that moment, he knew that his sister likes Romeo, sighs): Never mind. Do what you want, Romeo. I'm not stopping you now. Just don't lay a finger on her, or else I'll stab you with a pencil.

Romeo (in his mind): It's not like it's the end of the world if I'm going to do this. I mean, why not? This could be my chance to tell her that I have a crush on her. Wait what? No! Not happening! I'm just gonna ask her to be my partner. (clears throat, in a low voice) Uhm.. Wendy Marvell, will you be my partner for the ball? And be my girlfriend as well? (stretches out a hand) (in his mind) Sh*t! Sh*t! Why did that come out of my mouth!?

Wendy (panicking, shocked, gasps): What!? Girlfriend!? Partner for the ball!?

Mira and girl classmates (fangirls, rolls on the floor) Kyaaaaaaa~! How sweet! ♥ I wish he was just like my boyfriend!!

Natsu: .. take care of my sister, Romeo. I now leave her in your hands.

Wendy: Yes.. I guess, Romeo?

Romeo (takes one step back): For real?

Wendy (smiles genuinely): Yeah. For real.
