Redamancy - Ace Merrill

Cassidy couldn't sleep, all she could think about was the kiss her and Ace shared on her porch just hours ago. It made her feel all bubbly inside she didn't know why it's not like she likes him... right?

There's no way she could like Ace, I mean they barely know each other! Thousands of thoughts swirled her mind, most of them about Ace. He probably didn't even like her.. She's probably just another one of those girls that he leads on and then dumbs.. Well, at least that's what she thinks, I mean there is no way Ace Merrill, one of the most known people in Castlerock, could like her. He's probably just being a friend.. Totally.

Cassidy kept thinking about the kiss, how his lips felt pressed against hers, how his lips tasted(mostly like beer), how she could still feel his hand cupping her jaw, how when it happened it felt like a million butterflies were let free in her stomach.

She wanted it to happen again, and a million more times, there was just something about Ace that made her feel amazing. But, of course she thought Ace would never want Cassidy to be his girl, which was very very wrong, Ace wanted her to be his girl, he couldn't stop thinking about the kiss either, it was the only thing he could think of, he'd never actually liked someone, you know, in a romantic way. Love and feelings always made him feel uncomfortable, everyone in his life as a kid made him believe he had to be strong, and not show emotions 'like a man'.

Obviously he thought the same as Cassidy, she would never like a no good guy like him. Of course, he would never ever stop the cheesy and dirty flirting, ever it's just to funny.

Both of the teenagers lay in bed thinking of each other and slowly they both drift to sleep, thinking of they're kiss.

The very noisy sound of Cassidy's alarm clock wakes her up after she slaps her hand on the button and debates whether or not to get up she finally decides to get up after she gets up she walks to her basically empty closet and picks out a deep red tee shirt and a pair of ripped jeans. She puts her clothes on and heads down stairs where she sees her mother, sitting on the couch with a cigarette in her mouth like always, and her brother, making breakfast for the both of them.

"Morning sunshine." James says, flipping a pancake, Cassidy glares at him before getting a cup of water and sitting at the small table.

James finishes cooking and hands Cassidy a plate of breakfast before sitting across from her with his breakfast. Cassidy had made plans to hangout with the cobras after school with Ace when he was walking her home. "Hey, I'm gonna be hangin out with some friends after school so I'll be home late." Cassidy says to James.

"You have friends?" James says in a joking tone, Cassidy glares at him. "Yes, I do, more than you probably." Cassidy says with a smirk, "Oh yeah? And who are these, probably imaginary, friends of yours?" James responds.

"The cobras." Cassidy says, finishing her food and standing up to put the plate in the sink, James' face drops immediately after she says 'the cobras', he's heard of them, he heard they're one of the most dangerous groups in Castlerock, "What?! You can not be friends with The cobras, they are nothing but bad news!" He shouts, Cassidys expression changes to one of surprise and confusion because, well she was surprised at James outburst.

"Keep it down!" Cassidys mother says. "What the hell James? I can be friends with whoever I want!" Cassidy yells before grabbing her backpack and slipping on her beat up converse. Cassidy walks out of the house, slamming the door and starting her walk to school, still pissed at James for thinking he can tell her who and who not to be friends with, like if she wants to be friends with the cobras the she can! Her brother can't control her.

About five minutes into her walk she hears a car honk at her and pull up beside her.

"Need a ride sweetheart?" Ace says, smirking, Cassidy smiles and gets in the passenger seat. It only takes the group (Eyeball, Ace, Cassidy, and Billy) about 17 minutes to get to the school, it would have taken Cassidy about 27 minutes if she had walked! The group of teenagers walk into the school, all four of them immediately getting dirty looks and scoffs. Billy and Eyeball each go to their own lockers and Ace and Cassidy go to Cassidys, she unlocks her locker and shoves her backpack inside after grabbing the books she needs for her first class, after she does that her and Ace start walking to Cassidy and Aces first class together, english.

Cassidy and Ace actually have quite a few classes together, they never really noticed each other ever surprisingly, she also has a couple classes with some of the other cobras.

After a very very veryyyyyy boring english class she walked back to her locker and grabbed all the necessary stuff for gym, which she had with Eyeball and Vince.

The school day went on extremely slow, but at least she got to see Ace in a few classes, as well as getting to see the other cobras, she felt like she immediately warmed up to the cobras and felt comfortable with them, well I mean, they are basically her only friends, wow that's kinda sad, but that doesn't matter, she couldn't be happier with the friends she has.

After her last class of the day, on the way to her locker her ex best friend, Julie pulls her aside. "Really? Hanging out with the cobras how stupid are you! They're just gonna hurt you!" She says, Cassidy scoffs, "No they aren't unlike someone, they actually care about me, you know maybe if you didn't spread rumors about me then I wouldn't be friends with them, maybe I would still be friends with you, you backstabbing cunt!" Cassidy shouts.

"God dammit Cassidy im just trying to help you! They are bad news, especially Ace, who I see is the one your hanging out with the most!" She replies, Cassidy can see the regret in her eyes, of course she doesn't buy it, she knows she doesn't feel bad or sorry.

"You don't get to help me! We aren't friends anymore, you ruined that." Cassidy sighs and walks away, getting her stuff from her locker.

Still pretty short but definitely longer than the other chapters! Also I would like to clarify that this ex best friend is not the one Cassidy almost killed also I have no idea how high school works so that's why I didn't write like yk the stuff that happens in each class, I'm only in middle school bruv😭 also I'm to lazy to read this because I'm extremely tired so sorry if there's mistakes
