In the morning, Seungmin woke up to the smell of kimchi, japchae, bulgogi and coffee.
Hyunjin had prepared breakfast for them before they had to leave for their respective schedules. 3racha had already come and gone, so they were once again alone at the dorm.
Hyunjin knocked on the open door. "Good morning my sweet puppy. Come and eat. You can wash up and borrow some of my clothes or Han's if you want, so you don't have to go back to your dorm to change. He said it was okay. Changbin said not to touch his shoes, so of course, feel free to use them!" He laughed.
"Thank you, my love!"
In the kitchen Seungmin back-hugged Hyunjin, who was preparing Iced Americanos for both of them. "I love you."
He turned around and hugged him back. "I love you more! Now, go eat!"
"Yes, sir!" He saluted.
Hyunjin laughed and sat across from Seungmin and began eating.
Seungmin always made Hyunjin laugh. He was just always so funny to him, from the way he sat to the things he said, so there was usually a giggle fest when they were together, but now, Hyunjin looked at him with such love, that Seungmin felt like he could do anything. Before it was as if he was Hyunjin's entertaining friend, but now he felt beautiful, empowered, capable, in short, a life partner.
Hyunjin was good for Seungmin.
On the other side, Hyunjin now felt like the protector for the first time... the nurturer, the one someone could rely on. He liked preparing Seungmin's breakfast, making sure he had his coffee and enough sleep. He wanted to care for Seungmin and make sure he was happy, healthy and safe. It wasn't like he wanted to parent him, but rather to be someone who held him up, so he could shine brighter.
Hyunjin placed his elbow on his crossed knee, and leaned his face on his hand, deep in thought. "It's funny, you're the one usually waking me up and reminding me of things, but now, I want to be a capable man to you, someone you can rely on." He thought, staring at his love.
Seungmin noticed him deep in thought. "What are you thinking about so deeply over there, my little philosopher?"
"You. I'm thinking about the kind of man I want to be for you." He sniffed out a chuckle, scrunched his nose, and looked down. With rosy cheeks he added, "Loving you makes me want to be a better man."
"I don't need you to be better, because you are already perfect for me, but I like the idea of you seeking to better yourself. However, please do it for yourself, not me. Make yourself happy and fulfilled. That will automatically make me happy."
Hyunjin smiled and nodded once "Araseo, but I still want to do little things to take care of you and become a good husband to you."
"Husband?" Seungmin asked with pink on his cheeks and a feathery voice, almost inaudible.
"Husband!" Hyunjin emphasized.
They continued eating, gazing at each other and smiling in silence. There was a new sense of closeness and intimacy that neither thought would be possible. They were even more comfortable with each other than ever, and truly happy. They could see the future with each other, starting a family, and growing old together.
They were lost in each other, when Seungmin's phone rang, breaking them out of their love stare contest.
"Yoboseyo! Uhhhmmm! Jamkkanman...(Hello? Hmm... wait a minute.)
"Jeongin says we have to film a Racha Log today, and he's asking where we should go."
Hyunjin thought for a moment and had an idea. "Han River picnic? I always wanted to go on a paddle boat. We can get your favorite, McDonald's, and eat Ramen from the nearby store. Eottae?"
"He likes it. We'll meet in two hours. Staff is on standby." Seungmin hung up, and reached over the table to kiss Hyunjin. "Let's go get ready."
Hyunjin wore an off white long sleeve sweater, that Seungmin had bought him, with blue jeans and a black beanie that said 'Supreme', and Seungmin wore a windbreaker hoodie and a 'Supreme' ball cap, with blue jeans. On the vlog, Hyunjin and Seungmin made subtle comments and did a few things that meant something to them, but to Stay were just Stray Kids being Stray Kids.
The Vlog started with Seungmin saying hello to Jeongin, and asking why he was intruding on his and Hyunjin's date, and Jeingin apologizing. Another moment was when the couple left Jeongin to get ramen at the convenience store, which allowed them to have a little "alone" moment within their time there.
After they ate the Ramen, they went paddle boating. Hyunjin made sure Seungmin's life jacket was on properly, and he sat in front of him so that they could take a selfie together on their first time in a paddle boat.
"Wow, that was a lot of fun, but I wish we could have gone by ourselves. Let's go to the Han River alone next time, Minnie."
"I know what you mean, but we made nice memories and have cute pictures to remember it by. By the way, I can't believe you put a poop hat on me on camera. I'll need to punish you later."
"Ooohhh... you promise?" Hyunjin asked.
Seungmin winked at him and giggled.
They settled in for the night by watching their current K-Drama episode, washing up, and going to sleep.
A few days later, Hyunjin moved to the other dorm, and Jeongin to the 3Racha dorm, so that Dance Racha could be together and create dances easier. At least that was the excuse JYPE gave so that Hyunjin and Seungmin could live together without raising suspicions.
Everything was going smoothly, and the two men couldn't be happier.
