Domenico
"Get the fuck outta here. Dame? Pulled a gun on you?" Apollo questioned shockingly.
I downed the rest of my drink. "Yeah."
"Man, what the fuck it going on?" I called Romeo and Apollo over to one of the local bars to catch them up on what was missed. I'm actually not surprised Damian pulled a gun to my head. After the information his sister spilled out, I wouldn't trust a soul either. I don't blame him for his actions, however, he's definitely going about the issue the wrong way.
"I'm lost here." Romeo added.
I cleared my throat. "Damian and I recently went to go visit Milani. His sister..."
"Right. The crazy bitch that caused the accident." Apollo stated.
"Corretto." I continued. "She let us know that she wasn't alone in the project."
"Emilio?"
"No, she said someone closer to Damian."
My brothers and I looked between each other. "Well it ain't us." Romeo informed.
"I know. When Damian got the information from a friend, he says it was someone driving a new blacked out Range Rover."
Apollo scrunched his eyebrows in confusion. "The only person that we know who drives a Rover is Damian though, so if it wasn't him... then who?"
I started to think real hard. "Figlio di puttana." I whispered. (Son of a bitch)
"What is it?"
"No what but who. I think I know exactly who the fuck it is. We're going to Damian's. Now." I rose from my chair and threw my jacket around my body.
"Uhmmm Damian's? While he's trigger happy? Oh, fuck no." Apollo complained as I rolled my eyes in annoyance.
"Stop being a pussy, Apollo. He's not gonna shoot you." Romeo took the words right out of my mouth.
"We don't know that. What if he starts having flashbacks of old shit like-."
"Apollo." I cut him off as a warning. "We're going. Fallo superare." (Get over it)
We took the drive back to Damian's. When we reached his floor, the elevator doors were locked. Are you kidding me? Romeo bangs on the door. "Dame! Open up!"
Apollo tried calling his phone but no answer. We know he's in there. How else would he be able to get out? The intercom inside the elevator goes off. "Do y'all ever fuck off or y'all just love to annoy me?" His voice sounds groggy.
"C'mon, fratello. Dobbiamo parlare." (We need to talk)
"About?"
We searched for the camera that rested in the corner above our heads. "We might have an idea on whose involved with your sister." Romeo announced.
There was complete silence until a buzzing sound goes off, igniting the doors to unlock and finally slide open. As we stepped off, Apollo immediately began to talk his shit. "Aye, man. You know that's dangerous to be locking mufuckas in a tight ass elevat- Damn! Where the lights at?"
The penthouse was completely dark. The only visible lighting available was from the moonlight itself. Poor fratello. This whole thing is hitting him harder than I predicted. I left a message to Imani, letting her know I'm gonna be home later than expected. She didn't mind since she's occupied with her sister at the moment.
"Damian." Romeo called out.
"Over here."
All three of us rounded the corner and found him sitting on the floor in the kitchen. "Come on, man." Apollo flicked the lights on. Damian's red eyes flinched as the brightness casted onto his weak yet still drunken form. Cazzo. "Damn." Romeo and Apollo finally get to see for themselves.
"You don't look too good, Dame."
"I don't feel too sexy either. Thanks for pointing that out, Rome." He struggles to pull himself from the floor until I helped him up. He allows me to do so. "I'm sorry, Dom."
I took a deep breath. "Don't worry about that. Right now, we need you to get cleaned and sober up."
He leaned against the sink, splashing a little bit of water on his face. "What time is it?"
"Almost 9pm." The youngest one informed.
"Damn." He pats his face with a nearby hand towel. "Is Lei- is she okay?"
"She's alright." I lied. After we left from here earlier on, Leila was completely shaken up. She told us how she didn't feel safe being alone with Damian while he was in his aggressive incoherence. So Mama quickly grabbed two of her suitcases from the guest room while Damian wasn't looking. We all know if he were to see that, he would've lost his shit even more.
"Dom, you know you were never good at lying right? That's why you don't do it."
I looked down behind him on the floor and noticed a box that read "Memories" on the front. Hey, I know that box. That's the same box he had me hold for him while he was away. Shit. I can't imagine how he's feeling and I really hope these two can come together and work this out. Asap.
"Yeah well uh... something else needs focusing on." I grabbed him a bottle of water from underneath the counter. "Non ci sono più armi in giro di cui dobbiamo preoccuparci se ti diamo i nostri pensieri su questo?" (There's no more weapons around that we have to worry about if we give you our thoughts on this?)
Damian chuckled. "Don't worry. Safety's on." Fair enough. Romeo, Apollo, and I followed behind him to the couch. "So, what did you need to tell me again?"
