Chapter Two - Teenagers

The infernal beeping wakes me up from the small four hours of sleep I got last night.

Thank God it's Friday, I can sleep all day tomorrow if I want to... And if my sub-conscious will let me...

The dreams weren't too bad last night there were only two which really frightened me. The first I don't really remember much except that it was about snakes and blood... The second one who ever I remember fully.

I was in an abandoned house alone, there were foot prints all along the corridor I was in and seeing that I could go no other way I decided to follow them. They led me to a door with the words 'Knock Twice and Recieve Only Knowledge. Knock More Than Twice and Receive Your Death.' written on a note. So of course I knocked twice to see what would happen. A scream ripped through the air making my hairs stand on end and making me frantic to see behind the door. I knocked once and the door slowly opened.

Underneath a single light in a heap on the floor in a pool of blood lay Lily. I ran to her and hit an invisible wall, I screamed and screamed for her to get up but she couldn't hear me. So I just sat behind the wall defenceless as my best friend bled to death.

All of a sudden she started raising her head very slowly. I wasn't prepared for the sight which greeted me.

Lily had no eyes, only empty sockets. A black liquid was dripping from her mouth and landing on the floor in red pools. She lunged at me and hit the wall growling. I started screaming again as she threw herself forward once more. This time sue got through the wall and lunged at me hissing the whole time.

Then I woke up crying and discovered it was only three o'clock.

Once I'm dressed in my horrible school uniform complete with my black jeans I always get told off for I walk out of my room and down to the kitchen like always.

"Good morning Bandit!"

"Mom? You're up early today, how come you’re awake?" I reply confused as to why she is up at seven o'clock for once.

"You're dad fell over the dresser in our room and woke me up with his swearing. I couldn't get back to sleep so I came down here." I nod at her explanation and start making a bowl of cereal.

Mom and I make idle chit chat while I eat and she drinks coffee. Dad already left for rehearsals and mom is going to join him later on. Soon enough it's time for me to leave.

"Kay mom I need to go now, I'll see you when I get home. Love you!" I call to her.

"Love you too be safe Bee!" I close the door and am surprised to see everyone waiting on me for once.

"Finally she arrives the great and tiny Bandit Baggins!" Miles shouts when I reach them. Everyone bursts out laughing when he says Bandit Baggins.

I scowl at him but I can't help laughing just a bit. "Well I did ask for something somewhat original, and for that Miles I give you props." I say once the laughter dies down bowing to him at the end.

I survive home room without being too humiliated and walk silently to my next class. Unfortunately I don't have music today so that means I am alone in all of my classes today.

I walk into Chemistry and take my seat at the very back of the room. The class slowly fills up with people I grew up with that no longer acknowledge my existence, I keep my head down and doodle in my notebook until the class begins.
