"We have faith that future generations will know here, in the middle of the twentieth century, there came a time when men of good will found a way to unite, and produce, and fight to destroy the forces of ignorance, and intolerance, and slavery, and war."

Third Person POV
The churning of propellers signals the helicopter's descent. A V-22, known more as the Ospery, touches down on an airstrip in a remote location far from civilization but inhabited by the military personnel of the United States of America.
A rather decorated man in uniform stepped out as the helicopter door lowered.
Looking around the base, he was taken aback at first. This was a significant improvement compared to the bases he had been on.
???: (It's so strange... why would he even call me out here? I'm a damn lieutenant dad, I know you're a general, but I'm a Marine, not in the Army.)
A fellow G.I. approached the helicopter. Judging by the badge on his shoulder, his rank was Master Sergeant.
MSgt. Avery: "Second Lieutenant, sir. Master Sergeant Avery Nuemen. I am honored to be the first to welcome you to Outpost IV." The man saluted.
???: "Good day, Sergeant. Now tell me. Where is the Major General?"
MSgt. Avery: "He should be in his quarters, sir."
???: "Quit it with the sir. I've heard enough of it." MSgt. Avery lowered his hand to the side but remained at attention. "Inform the General of my arrival."
MSgt. Avery: "Yes, sir!"
The Marine watched the Master Sergeant walk off. He started to make his way in the direction the Master Sergeant walked off in. That had to be toward the General's quarters.
As he walked, he heard what sounded like a cadence march, one he was all too familiar with. He looked over to see where the sound came from. He watched a column, likely eighty servicemen and women, marching with the Drill Sergeant.
