Unraveled

Yesterday felt like it wasn't a date anymore up until the end of the day. I still had fun, and met Kaneki's best friend.. Which was captivating.

-- Flashback of Yesterday --

"..Hide?"

A strawberry-blond colored male ran towards your table, and smiled like the bright sun.

"Kaneki!! How's my Broneki doing? It's been a while since we talked- oh, oh hey, is this your girlfriend, ne Kaneki-kun~?" He teased Kaneki, and Kaneki instantly blushed.

"N-nonsense Hide! She's just my f-friend. Allow me to introduce her. Hide, this is [Last name] [First name.]. [First name]-chan, this is my best-friend since the elementary, Hide."

"Pleasure to meet you Hide!" You smiled, and offered to shake hands, and he returned it with his cheerful smile.

"You too [Your name]-chan! Ne, ne Kaneki" Hide then leaned into Kaneki's ear and whispered without you hearing. "She's such a cutie, y'know Kaneki~ you have such good taste in girls! Except for that time when you went out with that girl~" Hide smirked making Kaneki look beet red.

"S-shut up Hide! S-she's just my friend.." He blushed, and looked away.

You tilted you head in confusion laughing a bit.

"For now..." Hide winked at Kaneki, making Kaneki playfully push Hide.

You all had fun that night, yet Kaneki still hasn't took a bite out of his good which made you concerned. It was then time to go home, and Hide spilt ways while Kaneki took you home. It was quiet, and dark with an eerie feeling since it was a city. Hopefully, you wouldn't run into any ghouls you thought. Wrong. Someone laid a cold palm on your shoulder to turn you around. The figure's eyes were both dark gray, and their orbs were shocking red, you tried to squirm out of their grasp but it was inhuman.

"A GHOUL!?! HELP!!" You screamed from the top of your lungs, closing your eyes.

Just then, both of your bodies were separated by some well known strong arms. Kaneki. The figure unleashed some thing tentacle-like things from his waist, and Kaneki did the same thing piercing his stomach practically finishing him off. He turned to face you, and saw blood splatters on his face, and only one kakugan. His eye then turned normal, and his blood red tentacles disappeared.

"K-Kaneki.. Y-you're a..."

"Ghoul. A one-eyed ghoul" he smiled harmlessly.

You fainted from shock and confusion leaving you falling to the floor and the same pair of arms catching you. After that, you didn't remember anything and fell into darkness until you woke up.
