"All Our Life's Chapter 8"
At Beatrice's house - Beatrice was sitting on the couch drinking her coffee when her phone rang. It was her mother, Vivian, who was the chief of the hospital. "Oh no, that's terrible," Beatrice said. She hung up the phone. "I sure hope it's not Mrs. Whithrop's call."
At Constantine's house - Theodore was happy; he just got off the phone when Elizabeth came into the room. "Daddy, you look happy," she said. "I'm just wondering if Genevieve is up."
"Why?" she asked.
"I know it's hard, but I need you to get along with your sister."
"I'll try, it's just hard," Theodore replied.
"I know," Elizabeth said. Genevieve came into the room wearing her robe.
"Good, you're awake. I need you both to get the house ready. Your mother is coming home. I want her favorite flowers in each room and her favorite tea," Theodore instructed.
"Yes, Daddy," they replied.
"Genevieve, I want you to get along with everyone and stop being selfish this time," Theodore added.
"I'm not selfish," Genevieve responded.
"Really?" Elizabeth said.
"Genevieve, please," Theodore asked.
"Find where the twins are," he continued.
"They had to go to the library," Elizabeth informed him.
"Oh, it's early," Theodore said.
"Yes, but you get a lot done in the morning. Now go get dressed," he instructed.
"Alright," Genevieve said.
"I'll go talk to the cook," Elizabeth said and left. Genevieve went upstairs.
Theodore was getting ready to leave when Beatrice entered wearing a sexy dress.
"Beatrice," Theodore said. "I hear about Constantine. I'm so sorry. If there's anything I can do," Beatrice approached him.
"Beatrice, I love my wife," Theodore said.
Genevieve came downstairs, knowing about her father's history with Beatrice.
"Daddy, aren't you late for Mother?" she asked.
"Yes, I am," Theodore replied and left.
"I wouldn't let you come between my parents. My mother needs Daddy," Genevieve said.
"I wouldn't mess with me," Beatrice responded.
Elizabeth entered the room. "What's going on?" she asked.
Beatrice was flirting with Daddy.
"Daddy loves Mother. Nothing will happen," Elizabeth said.
"I hope not," Theodore replied.
"Go get Mother's favorite flowers," Elizabeth instructed.
"Yes," Theodore agreed.
"You know, it's daisies," Elizabeth said.
"Yes, I do. I may have been gone, but I remember things," Theodore responded.
Genevieve left the room.
