Anti-ligature clothing is there for when someone is a ligature risk. For me, I wore them for months at a time due to my risk, and let's just say they are not comfortable at all. Just imagine having a cardboard top and shorts. They honestly stand up when you put them on the floor. In my experience with them, I find that it's easier to just get in them yourself rather than be forced to wear them. All your dignity is taken away from you. Being stripped naked in front of many, many staff members are sure deliberating. Anti-ligature clothing is used as its impossible to rip and be used as a further ligature. When anti-ligatire is used, they use bedding in place of normal bedding, so it is the exact same as the clothing it can't be ripped. In experience, they are not very warm or comfortable to sleep with. But they do their job. To keep someone safe.
